ارتفعت حصيلة ضحايا حادث تصادم قطارين قرب العاصمة الإندونيسية جاكرتا إلى 14 قتيلاً و84 مصاباً، بحسب ما أعلنته شركة السكك الحديدية الحكومية، وذلك عقب انتهاء فرق الإنقاذ من عمليات انتشال العالقين داخل حطام العربات.

ووقعت الحادثة مساء أمس (الإثنين) في منطقة بيكاسي، شرق جاكرتا، إثر تصادم قطار ركاب محلي بقطار يسير لمسافات طويلة.

وقال المدير التنفيذي لشركة السكك الحديدية الإندونيسية الحكومية بوبي راسييدين، إن عدد الضحايا ارتفع إلى 14 قتيلاً، فيما أوضح رئيس وكالة البحث والإنقاذ محمد شافعي، أن عمليات الإخلاء انتهت بالكامل بعد جهود معقدة لاستخراج الركاب المحاصرين من بين العربات المتضررة.

وأشار شافعي إلى أن فرق الإنقاذ اضطرت لاستخدام معدات متخصصة وفرق مدربة للتعامل بحذر مع الركام، مؤكداً عدم وجود مزيد من الركاب المفقودين، مع استمرار عمليات التمشيط تحسباً للعثور على بقايا بشرية.

ولفت إلى أن إحدى عربات القطار المخصصة للنساء كانت الأكثر تضرراً، حيث كانت جميع الضحايا من النساء، ومعظمهن تعرضن للاحتجاز تحت هياكل معدنية منهارة.

وخلال عمليات الإنقاذ، استخدمت الفرق أدوات قطع معدنية للوصول إلى الناجين قبل فصل القطارين عن بعضهما.

وفي تفاصيل الحادثة، أوضح راسييدين أن قطار الركاب اصطدم أولاً بسيارة أجرة على السكة، قبل أن يصطدم به القطار القادم من مسافة بعيدة.

وأكدت شركة تشغيل سيارات الأجرة الكهربائية الفيتنامية Green SM Indonesia أن المركبة المتورطة تتبع أسطولها، مشيرة إلى تعاونها مع السلطات في التحقيقات الجارية.

من جهته، أمر الرئيس الإندونيسي برابوو سوبيانتو، بفتح تحقيق شامل في الحادثة، وذلك عقب زيارته للمصابين في أحد مستشفيات بيكاسي، كما أعلن عن خطة لإنشاء جسر علوي بالقرب من موقع الحادثة للحد من الازدحام المروري، منتقداً ضعف صيانة أجزاء من شبكة السكك الحديدية.

وتتولى اللجنة الوطنية لسلامة النقل في إندونيسيا التحقيق في ملابسات الحادث، في وقت توافد فيه الأهالي إلى محطة القطار بحثاً عن ذويهم.

وفي شهادة مؤثرة، قالت إحدى الراكبات، هيرياتي، إنها كانت تنوي الصعود إلى عربة السيدات لكنها غيّرت قرارها في اللحظة الأخيرة، مضيفة أنها كانت تتحدث هاتفياً مع زوجها لحظة وقوع التصادم.

يُذكر أن قطارات الضواحي في جاكرتا تُعد من بين الأكثر ازدحاماً في العالم، وقد أدت الحادثة إلى تعطيل عدد من الرحلات، كما تُعد حوادث النقل البري شائعة نسبياً في إندونيسيا، حيث شهدت البلاد حادث تصادم قطارات مماثلاً عام 2024 في جاوة الغربية أسفر عن سقوط قتلى وجرحى.

The death toll from the train collision near the Indonesian capital Jakarta has risen to 14 dead and 84 injured, according to the state railway company, following the completion of rescue teams’ operations to retrieve those trapped inside the wreckage of the cars.

The incident occurred last night (Monday) in the Bekasi area, east of Jakarta, when a local passenger train collided with a long-distance train.

The executive director of the Indonesian state railway company, Budi Karya Sumadi, stated that the number of casualties has risen to 14 dead, while the head of the search and rescue agency, Muhammad Syafii, clarified that the evacuation operations have been fully completed after complex efforts to extract the trapped passengers from among the damaged cars.

Syafii noted that rescue teams had to use specialized equipment and trained personnel to carefully handle the debris, confirming that there are no more missing passengers, while search operations continue in case human remains are found.

He pointed out that one of the train cars designated for women was the most affected, as all the victims were women, most of whom were trapped under collapsed metal structures.

During the rescue operations, teams used metal cutting tools to reach survivors before separating the two trains from each other.

In detailing the incident, Sumadi explained that the passenger train first collided with a taxi on the tracks before being struck by the train coming from a distance.

The Vietnamese electric taxi company Green SM Indonesia confirmed that the involved vehicle belongs to its fleet, noting its cooperation with authorities in the ongoing investigations.

For his part, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto ordered a comprehensive investigation into the incident, following his visit to the injured in a Bekasi hospital, and announced a plan to construct an overpass near the accident site to reduce traffic congestion, criticizing the poor maintenance of parts of the railway network.

The National Transportation Safety Committee in Indonesia is investigating the circumstances of the accident, while families flocked to the train station in search of their loved ones.

In an emotional testimony, one passenger, Hiryati, said she intended to board the women’s car but changed her mind at the last moment, adding that she was on the phone with her husband at the moment of the collision.

It is worth noting that suburban trains in Jakarta are among the busiest in the world, and the incident has disrupted several trips. Moreover, land transport accidents are relatively common in Indonesia, where the country witnessed a similar train collision in 2024 in West Java that resulted in casualties and injuries.
