كشف المركز الوطني لتخطيط القوى العاملة الصحية في الهيئة السعودية للتخصصات الصحية عن تحقيق قفزة كبيرة في أعداد الممارسين الصحيين السعوديين حتى 2026م، حيث تجاوز عدد الممارسين المسجلين في الهيئة 800 ألف ممارس صحي، من بينهم أكثر من 460 ألف سعودي في مختلف التخصصات.

وأشار المركز إلى ارتفاع نسبة الأطباء السعوديين من 31% 2018 إلى 40% 2026م، مع نمو لافت في أعداد الأطباء المصنفين بلغ 295% منذ 2015م، مما يعكس تطور كفاءة الكوادر الوطنية، خصوصًا في التخصصات الدقيقة. وشهد قطاع طب الأسنان نموًا استثنائيًا، إذ تجاوز عدد الممارسين السعوديين 32 ألفًا بنسبة نمو وصلت إلى 357% منذ 2015م، وارتفع معدل أطباء الأسنان إلى 107.6 لكل 100 ألف نسمة، متجاوزًا متوسط دول مجموعة العشرين البالغ 77.4. ويأتي ذلك بالتزامن مع انخفاض تدريجي في أعداد خريجي طب الأسنان العام بنسبة 44% بين 2018 و2025م، بما يسهم في تحقيق توازن العرض والطلب.

وفي مهن التمريض والقبالة، بلغ عدد الممارسين أكثر من 290 ألفًا، منهم 110 آلاف سعودي، لترتفع نسبة السعوديين من 30% عام 2018 إلى 38% عام 2026م، وارتفعت نسبة الصيادلة السعوديين من 32% إلى 52% خلال الفترة نفسها، ليتجاوز عددهم 25 ألف صيدلي في قطاعات الرعاية الصحية والصناعة الدوائية، تأكيدًا لنجاح سياسات التوطين في المهن التخصصية.

وسجلت مهن العلوم الطبية أعلى نسب التوطين، إذ بلغت نسبة السعوديين 87% من إجمالي 247 ألف ممارس، مع نمو في أعدادهم وصل إلى 179% منذ 2015، مدفوعًا بتوسع التخصصات الداعمة لأنشطة التشخيص والعلاج.

وبالتوازي مع هذا النمو، ارتفع عدد مقاعد القبول في برامج البورد السعودي إلى 10,916 مقعدًا تدريبيًا في 2025م، بنمو 202% مقارنة بعام 2018، فيما بلغ عدد المتدربين حاليًا 25,876 متدربًا عبر 195 برنامجًا تدريبيًا، مما يعكس توسع منظومة التدريب الصحي المتخصص ومكانة المملكة كمركز جاذب للكفاءات الصحية.

كما أسهمت هذه الجهود في دعم مستهدفات توطين القطاع الصحي، خصوصًا في القطاع الخاص، حيث ارتفعت نسب التوطين إلى 35% في 2024، و45% في 2025م، وصولًا إلى 55% في 2026. وانعكس ذلك على انخفاض أعداد الباحثين عن عمل؛ إذ سجلت منصة «جدارات» في فبراير 2026 وجود 1009 باحثين عن عمل في طب الأسنان من أصل 15,279 مسجلًا كأطباء أسنان سعوديين، فيما حقّقت تخصصات طب الأسنان أعلى نسب نمو في المقاعد التدريبية بزيادة بلغت 517% منذ 2018.

وتواصل الأكاديمية الصحية دورها حيث درّبت أكثر من 40 ألف متدرب عبر برامج منتهية بالتوظيف في أكثر من 37 مدينة، وبشراكة مع أكثر من 350 جهة توظيف، من بينهم 14,400 متدرب في برنامج فني رعاية المرضى و6,918 في برنامج مساعد طبيب الأسنان.

The National Center for Health Workforce Planning at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties has revealed a significant leap in the number of Saudi health practitioners by 2026, with the number of registered practitioners in the commission exceeding 800,000, including more than 460,000 Saudis across various specialties.

The center noted an increase in the percentage of Saudi doctors from 31% in 2018 to 40% in 2026, with a remarkable growth in the number of classified doctors reaching 295% since 2015, reflecting the development of the efficiency of national cadres, especially in specialized fields. The dental sector witnessed exceptional growth, with the number of Saudi practitioners exceeding 32,000, achieving a growth rate of 357% since 2015, and the rate of dentists rose to 107.6 per 100,000 population, surpassing the average of the G20 countries, which stands at 77.4. This coincides with a gradual decrease in the number of general dentistry graduates by 44% between 2018 and 2025, contributing to achieving a balance between supply and demand.

In the nursing and midwifery professions, the number of practitioners reached over 290,000, including 110,000 Saudis, raising the percentage of Saudis from 30% in 2018 to 38% in 2026. The percentage of Saudi pharmacists also increased from 32% to 52% during the same period, with their number exceeding 25,000 pharmacists in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry sectors, confirming the success of localization policies in specialized professions.

The medical sciences professions recorded the highest localization rates, with the percentage of Saudis reaching 87% of a total of 247,000 practitioners, with their numbers growing by 179% since 2015, driven by the expansion of specialties supporting diagnostic and therapeutic activities.

In parallel with this growth, the number of admission seats in Saudi board programs rose to 10,916 training seats in 2025, marking a 202% increase compared to 2018, while the current number of trainees is 25,876 across 195 training programs, reflecting the expansion of the specialized health training system and the Kingdom’s position as an attractive center for health competencies.

These efforts have also contributed to supporting the localization targets of the health sector, especially in the private sector, where localization rates increased to 35% in 2024, 45% in 2025, and reaching 55% in 2026. This has reflected in the decrease in the number of job seekers; the “Jadarah” platform recorded in February 2026 the presence of 1,009 job seekers in dentistry out of 15,279 registered as Saudi dentists, while dental specialties achieved the highest growth rates in training seats with an increase of 517% since 2018.

The Health Academy continues its role, having trained more than 40,000 trainees through employment-ending programs in more than 37 cities, in partnership with over 350 employment agencies, including 14,400 trainees in the Patient Care Technician program and 6,918 in the Dental Assistant program.
