تحركات أمريكية لمصادرة سفن إيرانية – أخبار السعودية
كشف مسؤولون أمريكيون، اليوم (السبت)، عزم الجيش الأمريكي مصادرة سفن تجارية إيرانية في المياه الدولية، مؤكدين أنه يعتزم الصعود على متن ناقلات نفط مرتبطة بإيران، خلال الأيام القادمة، وفقاً لصحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال».
وكان رئيس هيئة الأركان الأمريكية المشتركة الجنرال دان كين، قد قال (الخميس) إن الولايات المتحدة ستلاحق بنشاط أي سفينة ترفع العلم الإيراني أو أي سفينة تحاول تقديم دعم مادي لإيران، مبيناً أن ذلك يشمل «أسطول الظل» الذي ينقل النفط الإيراني.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قال في وقت سابق اليوم: «إيران لن تنجح في ممارسة ضغوط على الولايات المتحدة»، موضحاً أن طهران لا يمكنها ابتزاز واشنطن.
وأضاف ترمب للصحفيين في البيت الأبيض، بعد معاودة طهران إغلاق مضيق هرمز: «نحن نتحدث إليهم، أرادوا أن يغلقوا المضيق مجدداً، ولا يمكنهم ابتزازنا»، مبيناً أن معلومات سترد إلى البيت الأبيض عن الوضع في مضيق هرمز بحلول نهاية اليوم. وأشار إلى أن المحادثات جارية مع إيران ولا تزال في مراحلها الأولية جداً.
وكان مسؤول عسكري أمريكي قد قال لموقع «أكسيوس»، إن قوات الحرس الثوري الإيراني نفذت، اليوم، ما لا يقل عن 3 هجمات ضد سفن تجارية في مضيق هرمز، منذ الصباح، وهو ما أكده متحدث عسكري إيراني قال إنه تمت إعادة السيطرة على مضيق هرمز، رداً على استمرار الحصار الأمريكي للموانئ الإيرانية.
American officials revealed today (Saturday) the U.S. military’s intention to seize Iranian commercial ships in international waters, confirming that it plans to board oil tankers linked to Iran in the coming days, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Keen, stated on Thursday that the United States will actively pursue any ship flying the Iranian flag or any vessel attempting to provide material support to Iran, noting that this includes the “shadow fleet” that transports Iranian oil.
Earlier today, U.S. President Donald Trump said, “Iran will not succeed in exerting pressure on the United States,” clarifying that Tehran cannot blackmail Washington.
Trump added to reporters at the White House, after Tehran resumed closing the Strait of Hormuz: “We are talking to them, they wanted to close the strait again, and they cannot blackmail us,” indicating that information will be sent to the White House about the situation in the Strait of Hormuz by the end of the day. He noted that talks are ongoing with Iran and are still in very early stages.
An American military official told Axios that Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces carried out at least three attacks against commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz today since the morning, which was confirmed by an Iranian military spokesperson who stated that control of the Strait of Hormuz has been reestablished in response to the ongoing U.S. blockade of Iranian ports.
