ترمب يعلن عزمه استضافة عون ونتنياهو في البيت الأبيض – أخبار السعودية
أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم (الخميس)، عزمه دعوة رئيس وزراء إسرائيل بنيامين نتنياهو، والرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون إلى البيت الأبيض لإجراء أول محادثات ذات معنى بين إسرائيل ولبنان منذ عام 1983 ومن قت طويل للغاية.
وقال ترمب في منشور على منصته تروث سوشيال: «الجانبان يريد أن يرى السلام، وأعتقد أن ذلك سيحدث بسرعة»، وذلك بعدما أعلن اتفاق الجانبين على بدء وقف إطلاق نار رسمي لمدة 10 أيام، اعتباراً من الساعة الخامسة مساءً بتوقيت شرق الولايات المتحدة، التاسعة بتوقيت مكة المكرمة.
من جهته، رحَّب رئيس الوزراء اللبناني نواف سلام، اليوم، بإعلان وقف إطلاق النار الذي أعلنه الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بين إسرائيل ولبنان، معتبراً أنه مطلب لبناني أساسي سعت إليه بيروت منذ الأيام الأولى للحرب، وكان الهدف الرئيس خلال لقاءات واشنطن التي عُقدت الثلاثاء.
وهنّأ سلام في منشور على منصة «إكس» جميع اللبنانيين بهذا التطور، مؤكداً تضامنه مع عائلات الضحايا، ومع الجرحى، إضافة إلى المواطنين الذين اضطروا إلى النزوح من مدنهم وقراهم، معرباً عن أمله في تمكينهم من العودة في أقرب وقت ممكن.
ووجه رئيس الوزراء اللبناني الشكر إلى الجهود الإقليمية والدولية التي أسهمت في التوصل إلى هذا الاتفاق، لا سيما الولايات المتحدة وفرنسا ودول الاتحاد الأوروبي، إلى جانب الدول العربية، وفي مقدمتها السعودية ومصر وقطر والأردن.
في المقابل، قالت صحيفة يديعوت أحرونوت الإسرائيلية إن نتنياهو وافق على وقف إطلاق النار في لبنان دون تصويت المجلس الوزاري المصغر عليه.
وأبلغ نتنياهو حكومته أن القوات ستبقى في جنوب لبنان، مؤكداً لهم أن الرئيس الأمريكي ترمب طلب وقف النار في لبنان وهو استجاب.
بدورها، نقلت صحيفة جيروزاليم بوست عن مسؤول إسرائيلي قوله إن الجيش سيواصل خلال فترة وقف إطلاق النار الحفاظ على مواقعه في جنوب لبنان، فيما ذكر مسؤول آخر لوكالة رويترز أن الجيش لا يخطط لسحب قواته من جنوب لبنان خلال أي وقف لإطلاق النار.
ونقلت هيئة البث الإسرائيلية عن مصدر قوله إن الجيش قد يسعى لتحقيق ضربات إستراتيجية قبل دخول وقف إطلاق النار حيز التنفيذ.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced today (Thursday) his intention to invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to the White House for the first meaningful talks between Israel and Lebanon since 1983 and for a very long time.
Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform: “Both sides want to see peace, and I believe that will happen quickly,” after announcing that both sides agreed to begin a formal ceasefire for 10 days, starting at 5 PM Eastern Time, 9 PM Mecca time.
For his part, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam welcomed the announcement of the ceasefire made by U.S. President Donald Trump between Israel and Lebanon, considering it a fundamental Lebanese demand that Beirut has sought since the early days of the war, and it was the main goal during the meetings in Washington held on Tuesday.
Salam congratulated all Lebanese on this development in a post on the “X” platform, affirming his solidarity with the families of the victims, the wounded, and the citizens who were forced to flee from their cities and villages, expressing hope for their return as soon as possible.
The Lebanese Prime Minister thanked the regional and international efforts that contributed to reaching this agreement, especially the United States, France, and European Union countries, along with Arab countries, led by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and Jordan.
In contrast, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Netanyahu approved the ceasefire in Lebanon without a vote from the security cabinet.
Netanyahu informed his government that the forces would remain in southern Lebanon, assuring them that President Trump requested the ceasefire in Lebanon and he complied.
For its part, the Jerusalem Post quoted an Israeli official saying that the army will continue to maintain its positions in southern Lebanon during the ceasefire period, while another official told Reuters that the army does not plan to withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon during any ceasefire.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported a source saying that the army may seek to carry out strategic strikes before the ceasefire takes effect.
