المملكة تؤكد جاهزيتها لإكسبو 2030 خلال اجتماع المكتب الدولي للمعارض – أخبار السعودية
رأس وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية عضو مجلس الوزراء مبعوث شؤون المناخ المفوّض العام لإكسبو 2030 الرياض عادل الجبير، وفد المملكة المشارك في اجتماع اللجنة التنفيذية للمكتب الدولي للمعارض المنعقد في العاصمة الفرنسية باريس. واستعرض الوفد السعودي، خلال الاجتماع، أحدث المستجدات والإنجازات المتعلقة بمسار معرض إكسبو 2030 الرياض.
وقدّم وفد المملكة لأعضاء اللجنة التنفيذية والمشاركين عرضاً شاملاً لأبرز ما تحقق حتى الآن، بما في ذلك تقدم الأعمال التنفيذية في موقع المعرض، وتسارع وتيرة الإنجاز في البنية التحتية، وأعمال البناء والإنشاء، إضافة إلى التطورات المتعلقة بالتصميم والمخططين العام والتفصيلي، وأنشطة التواصل والتسويق.
كما أبرز الوفد الزيادة الملحوظة في تأكيدات المشاركة من عدد كبير من الدول حول العالم، وهو ما يعكس الثقة الدولية الراسخة بالمملكة وقدرتها على تنظيم نسخة استثنائية وغير مسبوقة من المعرض الدولي، على نحو يترجم ما وعد به ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، ويجسّد مكانة المملكة العالمية ودورها شريكاً مؤثراً في صناعة المستقبل وتعزيز التعاون الدولي.
ويأتي هذا الاجتماع الدوري للمكتب الدولي للمعارض في وقت يشهد فيه موقع إكسبو 2030 الرياض تقدّماً متسارعاً في مختلف مسارات العمل، إذ انطلقت الأعمال الإنشائية بالتوازي مع تطوير البنية التحتية للمعرض والإرث المستدام الذي سيتركه بعد عام 2030. كما يجري العمل على تطوير الموضوع الرئيسي والموضوعات الفرعية للمعرض، بما يعكس الزخم الكبير الذي يحظى به بوصفه منصة عالمية وملتقى دولياً يُعوَّل عليه في ابتكار حلول للتحديات التي يواجهها العالم اليوم.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, a member of the Cabinet, the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, and the Commissioner General for Expo 2030 Riyadh, Adel Al-Jubeir, headed the Saudi delegation participating in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Exhibitions Bureau held in the French capital, Paris. During the meeting, the Saudi delegation reviewed the latest developments and achievements related to the path of Expo 2030 Riyadh.
The Saudi delegation presented the Executive Committee members and participants with a comprehensive overview of the key accomplishments to date, including the progress of the executive works at the exhibition site, the accelerated pace of infrastructure development, construction and building works, in addition to developments related to the design and both the general and detailed plans, as well as communication and marketing activities.
The delegation also highlighted the noticeable increase in participation confirmations from a large number of countries around the world, reflecting the strong international confidence in the Kingdom and its ability to organize an exceptional and unprecedented edition of the international exhibition, in a manner that translates the promises made by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and embodies the Kingdom’s global standing and its role as an influential partner in shaping the future and enhancing international cooperation.
This regular meeting of the International Exhibitions Bureau comes at a time when the Expo 2030 Riyadh site is witnessing rapid progress across various work streams, as construction works have commenced alongside the development of the exhibition’s infrastructure and the sustainable legacy it will leave after 2030. Efforts are also underway to develop the main theme and sub-themes of the exhibition, reflecting the significant momentum it enjoys as a global platform and an international gathering relied upon to innovate solutions to the challenges facing the world today.
