الصبيحي: السعودية شريان حياة لمواجهة «إرهاب الألغام» – أخبار السعودية
أشاد عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني، الفريق الركن محمود سالم الصبيحي، بالدور الإنساني المحوري الذي تضطلع به المملكة العربية السعودية في مساندة الشعب اليمني، وتحديداً عبر مشروع «مسام» لنزع الألغام التابع لمركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية.
وأكد الصبيحي أن الجهود السعودية تمثل شريان حياة لمواجهة «إرهاب الألغام» في الأراضي اليمنية، الذي حول القرى والمزارع إلى حقول موت تهدد المدنيين.
التزام إنساني ثابت
ولفت عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني، خلال لقائه رئيس اللجنة الوطنية للتعامل مع الألغام اللواء الركن أمين العقيلي، إلى أن بصمات السعودية الإنسانية تعكس التزاماً أخوياً ثابتاً تجاه اليمن، مشيراً إلى أن مشروع «مسام» واللجنة الوطنية ساهما بفاعلية في إنقاذ آلاف الأرواح وتطهير مساحات واسعة من المخلفات المتفجرة التي تركتها الجماعة الإرهابية خلفها.
تنمية بلا ألغام
واطلع الصبيحي خلال اللقاء على شرح مفصل حول إنجازات اللجنة الوطنية، والنتائج المحققة في انتزاع آلاف الألغام والمتفجرات من مختلف المحافظات.
ولفت إلى أن استمرار وجود هذه الألغام لا يمثل خطراً أمنياً فحسب، بل يشكل عائقاً رئيسياً أمام مسارات التنمية، لافتاً إلى أهمية استعادة الأمن في المناطق الزراعية والسكنية لتمكين النازحين من العودة إلى ديارهم بأمان.
رسائل توعوية
وشدد عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني على ضرورة، تكثيف برامج التوعية الموجهة للمجتمعات المحلية حول مخاطر الأجسام الغريبة، ورفع وتيرة الرسائل الإعلامية للحد من الحوادث وحماية الأبرياء في المناطق المتضررة، وتعزيز التنسيق بين الجهات المعنية لتوسيع نطاق التطهير الميداني.
من جهته، عبّر اللواء أمين العقيلي عن تقديره البالغ لاهتمام ومتابعة الفريق الصبيحي سير عمل اللجنة، مؤكداً أن الدعم السعودي والحرص الرئاسي يمثلان حافزاً كبيراً لمواصلة الجهود حتى تطهير آخر شبر من الأراضي اليمنية من هذه الآفة القاتلة.
The member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Mahmoud Salem Al-Sobaihi, praised the pivotal humanitarian role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the Yemeni people, specifically through the “Masam” project for mine clearance, which is affiliated with the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action.
Al-Sobaihi confirmed that the Saudi efforts represent a lifeline to confront the “terror of mines” in Yemeni territories, which have turned villages and farms into death fields threatening civilians.
A Steadfast Humanitarian Commitment
During his meeting with the head of the National Mine Action Committee, Major General Amin Al-Aqeeli, the member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council pointed out that Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian fingerprints reflect a steadfast brotherly commitment towards Yemen, noting that the “Masam” project and the National Committee have effectively contributed to saving thousands of lives and clearing vast areas of explosive remnants left behind by the terrorist group.
Development Without Mines
During the meeting, Al-Sobaihi was briefed on a detailed explanation of the National Committee’s achievements and the results achieved in removing thousands of mines and explosives from various governorates.
He pointed out that the continued presence of these mines not only poses a security threat but also represents a major obstacle to development pathways, emphasizing the importance of restoring security in agricultural and residential areas to enable displaced persons to return to their homes safely.
Awareness Messages
Al-Sobaihi stressed the necessity of intensifying awareness programs directed at local communities regarding the dangers of unexploded ordnance, increasing the frequency of media messages to reduce incidents and protect innocents in affected areas, and enhancing coordination among relevant authorities to expand the scope of field clearance.
For his part, Major General Amin Al-Aqeeli expressed his deep appreciation for the interest and follow-up of Al-Sobaihi regarding the committee’s work, affirming that Saudi support and presidential concern represent a significant incentive to continue efforts until the last inch of Yemeni land is cleared of this deadly scourge.
