ثورة على تقاليد الزواج.. عشيرة تركية كبرى تضع حداً لـ«ديون الزفاف» – أخبار السعودية
في خطوة وصفت بأنها «إصلاح اجتماعي جذري»، قررت عشيرة «الكويان» في ولاية شرناق جنوب شرقي تركيا، كسر قيود التقاليد التي حولت «ليلة العمر» إلى كابوس مالي. وبعد اجتماعات موسعة، أعلنت العشيرة التي تعتبر إحدى أكبر العشائر الكردية: اعتماد 21 بنداً تنظيمياً يهدف إلى ضبط نفقات الزواج وإعادة الميزان للواقع الاقتصادي.
لماذا انتفضت العشيرة؟
لم يعد الزواج مجرد رابطة مقدسة، بل تحول إلى «مناسبة استعراض اجتماعي» تغرق الأسر في الديون لسنوات. وأصبح الشباب يؤجلون خطوة الارتباط هرباً من «فاتورة الزفاف» الباهظة، بينما يرزح الآباء تحت ضغط الأعراف. ودفع هذا الواقع شيوخ ووجهاء العشيرة لاتخاذ قرار جريء لإنقاذ جيلٍ كامل من الضغوط المالية.
والقرارات ليست مجرد شعارات، بل إجراءات عملية تلمس كل تفاصيل الزفاف:
سقف للمصاريف: وذلك بوضع حدود عليا للتكاليف المتعلقة بالحفل.
تقنين الذهب والهدايا: عبر الحد من الطلبات المبالغ فيها التي تُفرض على العريس.
ترشيد الإنفاق: من خلال تقليص البذخ في الولائم، والفرق الموسيقية، وخدمات التصوير التي كانت تلتهم ميزانية الأسرة الناشئة.
الزواج تيسير لا سباق
لم تكتفِ المبادرة بتعديل الأرقام، بل سعت لتغيير «الفلسفة» نفسها، من الزواج كاستعراضٍ مالي إلى كونه مشروعاً أسرياً قائماً على البساطة والاستقرار. ونظراً للثقل الاجتماعي لعشيرة الكويان، يتوقع خبراء أن تصبح هذه المبادرة «كرة ثلج» تتدحرج لتشمل مجتمعات عشائرية أخرى داخل تركيا.
وبينما يرى البعض في هذه الخطوة طوق نجاة، يراها آخرون بداية لنقاش أوسع داخل المجتمع التركي حول ضرورة «هندسة التقاليد» بما يتناسب مع العصر. ففي النهاية، ليست التقاليد المبنية على البذخ هي ما يُبقي الزواج قوياً، بل الاستقرار النفسي والمالي للزوجين في بداية حياتهما.
In a move described as a “radical social reform,” the “Koyan” tribe in Şırnak province in southeastern Turkey has decided to break the constraints of traditions that have turned the “wedding night” into a financial nightmare. After extensive meetings, the tribe, which is considered one of the largest Kurdish tribes, announced the adoption of 21 regulatory clauses aimed at controlling wedding expenses and restoring balance to the economic reality.
Why did the tribe rise up?
Marriage is no longer just a sacred bond; it has turned into a “social showcase” that plunges families into debt for years. Young people are postponing the step of commitment to escape the exorbitant “wedding bill,” while parents are under pressure from customs. This reality has prompted the elders and dignitaries of the tribe to make a bold decision to save an entire generation from financial pressures.
The decisions are not just slogans; they are practical measures that touch on every detail of the wedding:
A cap on expenses: by setting upper limits on costs related to the ceremony.
Regulating gold and gifts: by limiting the excessive demands placed on the groom.
Rationalizing spending: by reducing extravagance in banquets, musical bands, and photography services that were consuming the budget of the emerging family.
Marriage is facilitation, not a race
The initiative did not stop at adjusting numbers; it sought to change the very “philosophy” of marriage from a financial showcase to a family project based on simplicity and stability. Given the social weight of the Koyan tribe, experts expect this initiative to become a “snowball” that rolls on to include other tribal communities within Turkey.
While some see this step as a lifeline, others view it as the beginning of a broader discussion within Turkish society about the necessity of “engineering traditions” to fit the modern age. In the end, it is not the traditions built on extravagance that keep marriage strong, but the psychological and financial stability of the couple at the beginning of their lives together.
