أعلن رئيس مجلس إدارة الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم عضو مجلس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم ياسر بن حسن المسحل، باسمه ونيابةً عن أعضاء مجلس الإدارة، دعم الاتحاد السعودي الكامل لرئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم جياني إنفانتينو عقب إعلانه الترشح لفترة رئاسية جديدة حتى عام 2031، وذلك خلال اجتماع مجلس FIFA الـ76 الذي عُقد اليوم (الخميس) في مدينة فانكوفر الكندية.

وأكد المسحل أن هذا الدعم يأتي انطلاقاً من قناعة الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم بأهمية استمرارية العمل المؤسسي في تطوير كرة القدم على المستوى الدولي، والبناء على ما تحقق خلال الفترة الماضية من مكتسبات أسهمت في تعزيز نمو اللعبة وتوسيع نطاق انتشارها.

وأشار المسحل إلى أن المرحلة القادمة تتطلب مواصلة العمل المشترك مع الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم، بما يدعم الاتحادات الوطنية ويعزز فرص التطوير والاستدامة، ويرتقي بمنظومة كرة القدم عالمياً.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation and member of the FIFA Council, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Mashel, announced on behalf of himself and the members of the Board of Directors the full support of the Saudi Football Federation for the President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, following his announcement to run for a new presidential term until 2031. This was during the 76th FIFA Council meeting held today (Thursday) in Vancouver, Canada.

Al-Mashel confirmed that this support comes from the Saudi Football Federation’s conviction of the importance of institutional continuity in developing football at the international level, building on the achievements made during the past period that contributed to enhancing the growth of the game and expanding its reach.

Al-Mashel pointed out that the upcoming phase requires continued joint work with FIFA, which supports national federations and enhances opportunities for development and sustainability, elevating the football system globally.
