رصدت تقارير متداولة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية سلسلة من محاولات الاغتيال والتهديدات الأمنية، التي استهدفت الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب خلال الأعوام العشرة الماضية، كاشفة عن 8 وقائع متفرقة بدأت قبل وصوله إلى البيت الأبيض، واستمرت حتى 2026.

وتعود أولى الحوادث إلى يونيو 2016، عندما حاول شاب بريطاني انتزاع سلاح شرطي خلال تجمع انتخابي لترمب في لاس فيغاس، قبل أن يبلغ عناصر الأمن لاحقاً أنه كان ينوي قتله.

وفي سبتمبر 2017، أقدم رجل في داكوتا الشمالية على سرقة رافعة شوكية وتوجيهها نحو موكب الرئيس، فيما تلقى ترمب في سبتمبر 2020 رسالة تحتوي على مادة «الريسين» السامة.

وتصاعدت التهديدات في 2024، إذ ألقت السلطات في يوليو القبض على رجل باكستاني أُدين لاحقاً بتهمة التخطيط لقتل ترمب بأوامر من الحرس الثوري الإيراني، بعد أشهر من كشف متهم إيراني عن تلقي تعليمات مماثلة باستهدافه.

وفي الشهر نفسه، وتحديداً في 13 يوليو 2024، تعرّض ترمب لمحاولة اغتيال مباشرة خلال تجمع انتخابي في مدينة باتلر بولاية بنسلفانيا، بعدما أطلق مسلح النار باتجاه المنصة، ما أدى إلى إصابة ترمب في أذنه ومقتل أحد الحاضرين وإصابة آخرين. وقد صنف مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي الحادثة باعتبارها محاولة اغتيال.

وفي سبتمبر 2024، سُجلت محاولة أخرى في نادي ترمب الدولي للغولف في ويست بالم بيتش بولاية فلوريدا، بعدما رصدت الخدمة السرية رجلاً مسلحاً ببندقية قرب محيط الملعب أثناء وجود ترمب هناك، قبل أن يفر من الموقع ويتم توقيفه لاحقاً. وأعلنت وزارة العدل الأمريكية لاحقاً إدانته بتهمة محاولة اغتيال الرئيس دونالد ترمب.

وفي فبراير 2026، قتلت الخدمة السرية شاباً كان يحمل بندقية صيد وعبوة غاز في منتجع مارالاغو، قبل أن تُسجل في أبريل 2026 واقعة جديدة تمثلت في القبض على شاب أطلق ناراً خلال حفل عشاء رئاسي في واشنطن بحضور ترمب، وسط ترجيحات رسمية بأن الرئيس كان من بين الأهداف المحتملة للهجوم.

وتعكس هذه الوقائع حجم التحديات الأمنية المحيطة بالرئيس الأمريكي، في ظل بيئة سياسية شديدة الاستقطاب، وتحذيرات متكررة من تصاعد خطاب العنف السياسي داخل الولايات المتحدة وخارجها.

Reports circulating in the United States have documented a series of assassination attempts and security threats targeting President Donald Trump over the past ten years, revealing 8 separate incidents that began before he took office and continued until 2026.

The first incident dates back to June 2016, when a British young man attempted to grab a police officer’s weapon during a Trump rally in Las Vegas, later informing security personnel that he intended to kill him.

In September 2017, a man in North Dakota stole a forklift and directed it towards the president’s motorcade, while Trump received a letter containing the toxic substance “ricin” in September 2020.

Threats escalated in 2024, as authorities arrested a Pakistani man in July who was later convicted of plotting to kill Trump on orders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, following months after an Iranian suspect revealed receiving similar instructions to target him.

In the same month, specifically on July 13, 2024, Trump faced a direct assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when an armed assailant fired towards the stage, resulting in Trump being injured in the ear, the death of one attendee, and injuries to others. The FBI classified the incident as an assassination attempt.

In September 2024, another attempt was recorded at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, after the Secret Service spotted a man armed with a rifle near the perimeter of the course while Trump was present there, before he fled the scene and was later apprehended. The U.S. Department of Justice subsequently announced his conviction for attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump.

In February 2026, the Secret Service shot a young man who was carrying a shotgun and a gas canister at Mar-a-Lago, before a new incident was recorded in April 2026 involving the arrest of a young man who fired shots during a presidential dinner in Washington attended by Trump, amid official speculation that the president was among the potential targets of the attack.

These incidents reflect the extent of the security challenges surrounding the American president, in light of a highly polarized political environment and repeated warnings about the rise of political violence rhetoric both inside and outside the United States.
