في وقت كانت تستعد فيه «إسراء» لارتداء فستان الزفاف وتجهيز عش الزوجية، كان القدر يخبئ لها نهايةً لم تكن في الحسبان. ذهبت الشابة المصرية إلى مركز تجميل في منطقة المهندسين بحثاً عن لمساتِ جمالٍ أخيرة قبل يومها الموعود، لكنها لم تعد إلى منزلها عروساً، بل عادت جثةً هامدة، لتصبح قضيتها المعروفة إعلامياً بـ «عروس حلوان» عنواناً لغضبٍ عارم يهز الشارع المصري.
تروي أسرة الضحية تفاصيل اللحظات التي قلبت حياتهم رأساً على عقب؛ فبمجرد دخول «إسراء» إلى المركز، خضعت لإجراء تجميلي تضمن حقنها بمادة وُصفت بأنها «منتهية الصلاحية» وغير صالحة للاستخدام. الإجراء تم (وفقاً لاتهامات الأسرة) بشكل عشوائي، دون إجراء تحاليل مسبقة، وبحقنٍ في أماكن غير مخصصة لذلك طبياً. دقائق معدودة كانت كفيلة بأن تسقط العروس على الأرض، ويتوقف قلبها في مشهد صادم.
ولا تقف المأساة عند الحقنة فقط، بل تتهم الأسرة مسؤولي المركز بارتكاب «جريمة ثانية»؛ وهي التأخير المتعمد في نقلها للمستشفى. خوفاً من المساءلة القانونية، حاول القائمون على المكان إجراء إنعاش لها داخل المركز بدلاً من طلب الإسعاف فوراً. وهذا التأخير تسبب في مضاعفات خطيرة، حيث أدى نقص الأكسجين إلى تلف في وظائف المخ، لتدخل «إسراء» في غيبوبة انتهت بوفاتها، محولةً فرحة الزفاف إلى جنازة موجعة.
وتتجه الأنظار اليوم (الأحد) إلى محكمة شمال الجيزة في مصر، التي تنظر محاكمة مسؤول المركز بتهم الإهمال الطبي الجسيم والتسبب في الوفاة. القضية تجاوزت كونها حادثة عادية، لتصبح «رأياً عاماً» يطالب بوضع حد لفوضى مراكز التجميل غير المؤهلة التي تفتقر لأبسط معايير الأمان الطبي.
رحلت «إسراء» قبل أن تُكمل حلمها، تاركةً خلفها عائلةً مكلومة تطالب بالقصاص. إنها قصةٌ تضع كل فتاة أمام تساؤل مخيف: هل أصبح البحث عن الجمال مغامرةً بالحياة؟ ويبقى السؤال الذي يتردد داخل أروقة المحكمة اليوم: هل ستكون عقوبة المتهم رادعةً بما يكفي لوقف سلسلة الموت التي تتربص بالفتيات داخل مراكز التجميل؟ أم أن في القضية مفاجآت ستظهر داخل جلسات المحكمة؟
At a time when “Esraa” was preparing to wear her wedding dress and set up her marital nest, fate had in store for her an unexpected end. The young Egyptian woman went to a beauty center in the Mohandessin area in search of final beauty touches before her promised day, but she did not return home as a bride; instead, she returned as a lifeless body, her case, known in the media as “the Bride of Helwan,” becoming a symbol of widespread anger shaking Egyptian society.
The victim’s family recounts the details of the moments that turned their lives upside down; as soon as “Esraa” entered the center, she underwent a cosmetic procedure that involved injecting her with a substance described as “expired” and unsuitable for use. The procedure was carried out (according to the family’s accusations) randomly, without prior tests, and with injections in medically inappropriate areas. Just a few minutes were enough for the bride to collapse on the floor, her heart stopping in a shocking scene.
The tragedy does not stop at the injection alone; the family accuses the center’s officials of committing a “second crime,” which is the deliberate delay in transporting her to the hospital. Fearing legal repercussions, those in charge of the place attempted to resuscitate her inside the center instead of calling for an ambulance immediately. This delay caused serious complications, as the lack of oxygen led to brain function damage, resulting in “Esraa” slipping into a coma that ended with her death, turning the joy of the wedding into a painful funeral.
Today (Sunday), all eyes are on the North Giza Court in Egypt, which is hearing the trial of the center’s official on charges of gross medical negligence and causing death. The case has transcended being an ordinary incident, becoming a “public opinion” that demands an end to the chaos of unqualified beauty centers that lack the most basic standards of medical safety.
“Esraa” departed before she could complete her dream, leaving behind a grieving family demanding justice. It is a story that places every girl before a frightening question: Has the search for beauty become a life-threatening adventure? And the question echoing in the court halls today remains: Will the punishment of the accused be deterrent enough to stop the chain of death lurking for girls inside beauty centers? Or will there be surprises in the case that will emerge during the court sessions?
