وسط تحذيرات أممية من نفاد المستلزمات الطبية والأدوية والإسعافات الأولية في لبنان، حذر وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي، اليوم (الخميس)، من خطورة التصعيد الإسرائيلي في لبنان على المساعي الإقليمية والدولية لتحقيق التهدئة المنشودة في المنطقة.
وأكد عبدالعاطي خلال اتصال هاتفي أجراه مع المبعوث الأمريكي ستيف ويتكوف ضرورة التدخل بشكل سريع لتهدئة الأوضاع بالإقليم وتثبيت وقف إطلاق النار، مؤكداً أن العدوان الإسرائيلي على لبنان يقوض كافة المساعي الإقليمية والدولية لتحقيق التهدئة المنشودة في المنطقة.
مطالبة مصرية باحترام سيادة لبنان
وأفادت وزارة الخارجية المصرية، في بيان، أن عبدالعاطي نوه بموقف مصر الثابت بضرورة احترام سيادة لبنان ووحدة وسلامة أراضيه ووقف كافة الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية، بما يضمن استقرار المنطقة وتجنيبها مخاطر الانزلاق نحو فوضى شاملة.
من جهتها، قالت منظمة الصحة العالمية إن بعض المستشفيات في لبنان قد تنفد لديها مستلزمات الإسعافات الأولية المنقذة للحياة خلال أيام نتيجة نقص الإمدادات بعد الخسائر البشرية الكبيرة التي خلفتها الغارات الإسرائيلية واسعة النطاق أمس.
وقال ممثل منظمة الصحة العالمية في لبنان عبدالناصر أبوبكر إن هناك نقصاً في بعض مستلزمات علاج الإصابات، وقد تنفد خلال أيام قليلة، مضيفاً: إن مستلزمات الإسعافات الأولية المنقذة للحياة تشمل الضمادات والمضادات الحيوية والمسكنات لعلاج المصابين بجروح ناجمة عن الحرب.
روسيا تندد بهجمات إسرائيل
بدورها، قالت المتحدثة باسم وزارة الخارجية الروسية ماريا زاخاروفا إن موسكو تدين بشدة الهجوم الإسرائيلي على لبنان، وتدعو إلى وقف فوري لإطلاق النار في منطقة نزاع إسرائيل ولبنان.
وأكدت زاخاروفا، في بيان صحافي، أن الهجوم الإسرائيلي أسفر عن سقوط العديد من الضحايا الأبرياء وتدمير واسع النطاق للبنية التحتية المدنية، مبينة أن إسرائيل نفذت الهجوم فور دخول الاتفاق الأمريكي الإيراني لوقف إطلاق النار لمدة أسبوعين حيز التنفيذ، وحين أصبح التوصل إلى تسوية دبلوماسية للأزمة العسكرية والسياسية الحادة في المنطقة ممكناً.
وأضافت: إن مثل هذه الأعمال العدوانية تهدد بتقويض عملية التفاوض الجارية، وتزيد بشكل كبير من خطر استئناف مواجهة مسلحة واسعة النطاق في الشرق الأوسط، مبينة أن موسكو تدعو إلى وقف فوري لإطلاق النار في منطقة النزاع الإسرائيلي اللبناني، وإلى إعادة توجيه الجهود السياسية والدبلوماسية نحو ضمان التنفيذ الشامل لقرار مجلس الأمن الدولي رقم 1701، الذي يحدد بوضوح التزامات الأطراف.
وجددت المتحدثة باسم وزارة الخارجية الروسية تأكيد بلادها موقفها المبدئي الداعم لسيادة الجمهورية اللبنانية واستقلالها ووحدتها وسلامة أراضيها، مشددة على التزام بلادها بالتعاون الوثيق مع الشركاء الإقليميين والدوليين لضمان استقرار مستدام للأوضاع في لبنان ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط ككل.
Amid UN warnings about the depletion of medical supplies, medications, and first aid kits in Lebanon, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty warned today (Thursday) of the dangers of Israeli escalation in Lebanon on regional and international efforts to achieve the desired calm in the region.
Abdel Aty confirmed during a phone call with U.S. envoy Steve Wietkoff the necessity of swift intervention to calm the situation in the region and stabilize the ceasefire, emphasizing that the Israeli aggression against Lebanon undermines all regional and international efforts to achieve the desired calm in the area.
Egyptian Call for Respecting Lebanon’s Sovereignty
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that Abdel Aty highlighted Egypt’s firm position on the necessity of respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty and the unity and integrity of its territory, and stopping all Israeli assaults, which ensures the stability of the region and spares it the risks of slipping into total chaos.
For its part, the World Health Organization stated that some hospitals in Lebanon may run out of life-saving first aid supplies within days due to a shortage of supplies following the significant human losses caused by the extensive Israeli airstrikes yesterday.
World Health Organization representative in Lebanon, Abdel Nasser Abu Bakr, said there is a shortage of some injury treatment supplies, which may run out in a few days, adding that life-saving first aid supplies include bandages, antibiotics, and pain relievers for treating those injured by war-related wounds.
Russia Condemns Israeli Attacks
For its part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Moscow strongly condemns the Israeli attack on Lebanon and calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Israel-Lebanon conflict area.
Zakharova confirmed in a press statement that the Israeli attack resulted in numerous innocent casualties and widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure, noting that Israel carried out the attack immediately after the U.S.-Iran agreement for a two-week ceasefire came into effect, and when reaching a diplomatic settlement to the acute military and political crisis in the region became possible.
She added: Such aggressive actions threaten to undermine the ongoing negotiation process and significantly increase the risk of resuming large-scale armed confrontation in the Middle East, indicating that Moscow calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Israeli-Lebanese conflict area and for redirecting political and diplomatic efforts towards ensuring the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which clearly outlines the parties’ obligations.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman reiterated her country’s principled position supporting the sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity of the Lebanese Republic, emphasizing her country’s commitment to close cooperation with regional and international partners to ensure sustainable stability in Lebanon and the Middle East as a whole.
