أخبار لايت: السعودية ترحب بإعلان توصل الولايات المتحدة وإيران لاتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار – أخبار السعودية

أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن ترحيب المملكة العربية السعودية بإعلان رئيس الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية دونالد ترمب، وإعلان دولة رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني السيد محمد شهباز شريف، عن توصل الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وجمهورية إيران الإسلامية إلى اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وجمهورية إيران الإسلامية، منوهةً في هذا الإطار بالجهود المثمرة التي قام بها دولته، والمشير عاصم منير قائد قوات الدفاع ورئيس أركان الجيش الباكستاتي في التوصل لهذا الاتفاق.

وقالت في بيان لها: «تؤكد المملكة دعمها لجهود الوساطة التي تقوم بها جمهورية باكستان الإسلامية للتوصل لاتفاق دائم يحقق الأمن والاستقرار ويعالج كافة القضايا التي تسببت في زعزعة الأمن والاستقرار على مدى عدة عقود، وتؤكد المملكة في الوقت ذاته على ضرورة إبقاء مضيق هرمز مفتوحاً للملاحة وفقاً لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار لعام 1982م دون أية قيود».

وأضافت «تأمل المملكة أن يشكّل وقف إطلاق النار فرصةً للتوصل لتهدئة شاملة ومستدامة، بما يعزز أمن المنطقة، وأن تتوقف أي اعتداءات أو سياسات تمس سيادة دول المنطقة وأمنها واستقرارها».

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s welcome to the announcement made by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and the announcement by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, regarding the agreement reached between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for a ceasefire between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting in this context the fruitful efforts made by His Excellency, and General Asim Munir, the Commander of the Defense Forces and Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army, in reaching this agreement.

It stated in a statement: “The Kingdom reaffirms its support for the mediation efforts being undertaken by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to reach a permanent agreement that achieves security and stability and addresses all the issues that have caused instability and insecurity for several decades. At the same time, the Kingdom emphasizes the necessity of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for navigation in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982 without any restrictions.”

It added, “The Kingdom hopes that the ceasefire will provide an opportunity for a comprehensive and sustainable de-escalation, enhancing the security of the region, and that any aggressions or policies affecting the sovereignty, security, and stability of the countries in the region will cease.”
