شرعت الجهات المختصة بالتعاون مع أمانة جدة، في فصل ورفع الخدمات عن 118 مبنى آيلاً للسقوط في حي الفاروق بنطاق بلدية الجامعة تمهيداً لإزالتها، وأكدت الأمانة، أن ذلك يأتي استمراراً لتعزيز السلامة العامة وحماية الأرواح والممتلكات، ومعالجة أوضاع المباني المتهالكة التي تشكل خطراً على السكان والمحيط العمراني. وبينت، أن المرحلة الحالية تأتي استكمالاً لأعمال الإزالة التي شهدها الحي في وقت سابق، وأن الإدارة العامة للطوارئ والأزمات، بالتنسيق مع الجهات ذات العلاقة، شرعت في الأعمال الميدانية للإشراف على فصل ورفع الخدمات عن المباني المستهدفة مدعومة بترتيبات أمنية لضمان سلامة مواقع العمل وتنفيذ الإجراءات وفق الأنظمة المعتمدة، إذ جرى في وقت سابق إشعار مُلّاك المباني المشمولة، وصدر بحقها قرارات إزالة من لجنة المباني الآيلة للسقوط عقب انتهاء المهلة المحددة، تمهيداً للبدء في أعمال الإزالة.

وأكدت أمانة محافظة جدة، استمرار جهودها في رصد ومعالجة المباني، التي تشكل خطراً على السلامة العامة في مختلف أحياء المحافظة، بما يواكب مستهدفات تحسين المشهد الحضري، والارتقاء بجودة الحياة، وتحقيق بيئة عمرانية آمنة ومستدامة.

The relevant authorities, in cooperation with the Jeddah Municipality, have begun to disconnect and remove services from 118 buildings at risk of collapse in the Al-Farouq neighborhood within the jurisdiction of the University Municipality, in preparation for their demolition. The municipality confirmed that this action is part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and protect lives and property, as well as to address the conditions of dilapidated buildings that pose a danger to residents and the surrounding urban environment. It was noted that the current phase is a continuation of the demolition work that the neighborhood has previously witnessed, and that the General Administration for Emergencies and Crises, in coordination with the relevant authorities, has initiated fieldwork to oversee the disconnection and removal of services from the targeted buildings, supported by security arrangements to ensure the safety of work sites and to implement procedures in accordance with approved regulations. Earlier, the owners of the affected buildings were notified, and demolition orders were issued by the committee for buildings at risk of collapse after the specified deadline had passed, in preparation for the commencement of demolition work.

The Jeddah Governorate Municipality affirmed its continued efforts to monitor and address buildings that pose a threat to public safety in various neighborhoods of the governorate, in line with the objectives of improving the urban landscape, enhancing quality of life, and achieving a safe and sustainable urban environment.
