فضيحة منتجات غذائية.. شوكولاتة «منشطة جنسياً» تحتوي على مواد خطيرة – أخبار السعودية
أعلنت إدارة الغذاء والدواء الأمريكية سحب منتجات شوكولاتة من الأسواق على مستوى الولايات المتحدة، بعد اكتشاف احتوائها على مكونات دوائية غير مُعلنة قد تشكل خطرًا على الصحة العامة.
وأوضحت الهيئة أن شركة Gear Isle، ومقرها ولاية كاليفورنيا، بادرت إلى سحب بعض دفعات منتجيها (Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate) و(ilum Sex Chocolate)، بعدما كشفت التحاليل احتواءهما على مادتي سيلدينافيل وتادالافيل، وهما مادتان فعالتان تُستخدمان عادة في أدوية علاج ضعف الانتصاب.
وكانت هذه المنتجات تُسوَّق عبر الإنترنت داخل الولايات المتحدة على أنها مكملات غذائية، دون الإفصاح عن احتوائها على هذه المواد الدوائية.
وحذرت الهيئة من أن وجود هذه المكونات غير المعلنة قد يؤدي إلى مخاطر صحية جسيمة، خصوصا لدى الأشخاص الذين يتناولون أدوية تحتوي على النترات لعلاج أمراض القلب، حيث يمكن أن يؤدي الجمع بينهما إلى انخفاض حاد وخطير في ضغط الدم قد يهدد الحياة.
وأشارت إلى أن الرجال البالغين، وهم الفئة الأكثر استخدامًا لهذه المنتجات، يُعدون الأكثر عرضة للخطر، خصوصًا من يعانون من أمراض قلبية ويستخدمون أدوية النترات.
ويشمل قرار السحب المنتجين التاليين: Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate (تاريخ انتهاء: يونيو 2027)، ilum Sex Chocolate (تاريخ انتهاء: ديسمبر 2027).
وأكدت الشركة أنها لم تتلقَ حتى الآن أي بلاغات عن آثار صحية ضارة مرتبطة بهذه المنتجات.
ودعت إدارة الغذاء والدواء الأمريكية المستهلكين إلى التوقف الفوري عن استخدام هذه المنتجات وإعادتها لاسترداد أموالهم، مشددة على ضرورة التواصل مع مقدم الرعاية الصحية في حال ظهور أي أعراض غير طبيعية.
ويأتي هذا الإجراء بعد واقعة مشابهة في وقت سابق من الشهر الجاري، حيث قامت شركة Primal Supplements Group LLC بسحب أحد منتجاتها العشبية المخصصة لتعزيز الأداء الجنسي، بعد اكتشاف احتوائه أيضًا على مادة سيلدينافيل دون الإفصاح عنها.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of chocolate products from markets across the United States after discovering they contained undeclared pharmaceutical ingredients that could pose a risk to public health.
The agency clarified that Gear Isle, based in California, initiated the recall of certain batches of its products (Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate) and (ilum Sex Chocolate) after analyses revealed they contained the substances sildenafil and tadalafil, which are active ingredients typically used in medications for erectile dysfunction.
These products were marketed online within the United States as dietary supplements, without disclosing their content of these pharmaceutical substances.
The agency warned that the presence of these undeclared ingredients could lead to serious health risks, especially for individuals taking medications containing nitrates for heart conditions, as the combination could result in a severe and dangerous drop in blood pressure that could be life-threatening.
It noted that adult men, who are the primary users of these products, are considered the most at risk, particularly those with heart diseases who are using nitrate medications.
The recall decision includes the following products: Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate (expiration date: June 2027), ilum Sex Chocolate (expiration date: December 2027).
The company confirmed that it has not yet received any reports of harmful health effects associated with these products.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration urged consumers to immediately stop using these products and return them for a refund, emphasizing the importance of contacting a healthcare provider if any unusual symptoms occur.
This action follows a similar incident earlier this month, where Primal Supplements Group LLC recalled one of its herbal products intended to enhance sexual performance after it was also found to contain sildenafil without disclosure.
