رغم تمديد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب مهلة التفاوض مع إيران حتى السادس من أبريل القادم، من أجل إفساح المجال للدبلوماسية وإمكانية التوصل إلى اتفاق ينهي الحرب ، فإن التعزيزات العسكرية الأمريكية على الأرض في المنطقة تكشف باستعداد واشنطن لخيارات أخرى.
توسيع الخيارات أمام ترمب
وأفصح مسؤولون في وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية، أن” البنتاغون” تدرس إرسال ما يصل إلى 10 آلاف جندي إضافي إلى الشرق الأوسط لتوسيع الخيارات العسكرية المتاحة أمام ترمب، بحسب ما أوردت نقلت صحيفة “وول ستريت جورنال” ، اليوم الجمعة.
وأعنلت الوزارة نشر زوارق سريعة مسيرة للقيام بدوريات وزوارق انتحارية ضمن عملياتها التي تستهدف إيران، وهي المرة الأولى التي تؤكد فيها واشنطن استخدام مثل هذه الزوارق في نزاع قائم، بحسب ما ذكرت وكالة”رويترز”.
مقترح لإخراج اليورانيوم المخصب
فيما أوضحت مصادر مطلعة أن ترمب يدرس خيارات عسكرية للتصعيد ضد إيران في حال فشلت الدبلوماسية.
ووفق المصادر ، فإن وزارة الدفاع وضعت خططا لنشر قوات برية للسيطرة على أهداف في الداخل الإيراني. ولفتت إلى أن الإدارة الأمريكية ناقشت مقترحا لإخراج اليورانيوم المخصب من إيران، وفق ما نقلت شبكة “سي أن أن”.
وذكرت المصادر أن مسؤولين في الإدارة الأمريكية بحثوا أفكارًا مختلفة لاستخراج اليورانيوم المخصب المدفون داخل المنشآت النووية الإيرانية، وهي مهمة يعتقد البعض أنها قد تمنح ترمب النصر الحاسم الذي يحتاجه لإنهاء الحرب.
السيطرة على جزيرة خارك
ووضع المسؤولون خيارات للسيطرة على جزيرة خارك، التي تُصدّر نحو 90% من صادرات النفط الخام الإيرانية، أو إصدار تصريح بشن غارة جوية تهدف إلى تدمير بنيتها التحتية النفطية بشكل كامل.
وتبحث الإدارة إمكانية السيطرة على جزر أخرى ذات مواقع استراتيجية بالقرب من مضيق هرمز، ما قد يُضعف قدرة إيران على تهديد ناقلات النفط التي تحاول عبور الممر المائي.
ويرى مسؤولون في البيت الأبيض أن السيطرة على جزيرة خارك تمثل ضربة قوية للحرس الثوري الإيراني ما قد يمهد الطريق لإنهاء الحرب بشكل نهائي.
ترمب يمدد المهلة عشرة أيام
وأعلن الرئيس الأمركي في وقت سابق أنه سيُوقف الضربات على قطاع الطاقة الإيراني لمدة عشرة أيام إضافية حتى السادس من أبريل، لإتاحة الفرصة للمباحثات بين الجانبين والتي تجري عبر وسطاء بينهم باكستان ومصر وتركيا. وكان ترمب أمهل طهران حتى مساء اليوم الجمعة للتوصل لاتفاق قبل قصف منشآت الطاقة. وأكد أن التمديد جاء بناءً على طلب إيراني
لكن بعض الوسطاء أشاروا إلى أن إيران لم تطلب وقفا مؤقتا لمدة 10 أيام للهجمات على محطات الطاقة، وأنها لم تقدم بعد ردا نهائيا على المقترح المؤلف من 15 نقطة لإنهاء الحرب.
وسمحت إيران بمرور عدة ناقلات نفط تحمل العلم الباكستاني عبر مضيق هرمز، في خطوة وصفها ترمب بأنها “هدية” للولايات المتحدة، معتبراً أنها دليل على جدية القيادة الإيرانية في التفاوض.

Expanding Options for Trump
U.S. defense officials revealed that the Pentagon is considering sending up to 10,000 additional troops to the Middle East to expand the military options available to Trump, according to a report by the “Wall Street Journal” on Friday.
The department announced the deployment of unmanned fast boats for patrolling and suicide boats as part of its operations targeting Iran, marking the first time Washington has confirmed the use of such boats in an ongoing conflict, according to “Reuters.”
Proposal to Extract Enriched Uranium
Informed sources indicated that Trump is considering military options for escalation against Iran should diplomacy fail.
According to the sources, the Department of Defense has developed plans to deploy ground forces to seize targets within Iran. They noted that the U.S. administration discussed a proposal to extract enriched uranium from Iran, as reported by “CNN.”
The sources mentioned that officials in the U.S. administration explored various ideas for extracting enriched uranium buried within Iranian nuclear facilities, a task that some believe could provide Trump with the decisive victory he needs to end the war.
Control of Khark Island
Officials have laid out options for controlling Khark Island, which exports about 90% of Iran’s crude oil exports, or issuing a permit for an airstrike aimed at completely destroying its oil infrastructure.
The administration is considering the possibility of controlling other strategically located islands near the Strait of Hormuz, which could weaken Iran’s ability to threaten oil tankers attempting to pass through the waterway.
White House officials believe that controlling Khark Island would represent a significant blow to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, potentially paving the way for a definitive end to the war.
Trump Extends Deadline by Ten Days
The U.S. president previously announced that he would halt strikes on Iran’s energy sector for an additional ten days until April 6, to allow for discussions between the two sides being mediated by Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey. Trump had given Tehran until Friday evening to reach an agreement before bombing energy facilities. He confirmed that the extension was made at Iran’s request.
However, some mediators indicated that Iran did not request a temporary halt of 10 days to attacks on power stations and has not yet provided a final response to the 15-point proposal to end the war.
Iran allowed several oil tankers flying the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, a move Trump described as a “gift” to the United States, considering it evidence of the Iranian leadership’s seriousness in negotiations.
