فضيحة صادمة.. دمية أطفال و40 تهمة تُسقط مبرمجاً و«روبلوكس» تتبرأ – أخبار السعودية
ألقت سلطات الأمن الداخلي الأمريكية القبض على رجل في مدينة نيو أورلينز، بعد العثور داخل منزله على مواد إباحية تتعلق بالأطفال ودمية جنسية مصممة على هيئة قاصر.
ووفقاً لتقرير الاعتقال، فإن الواقعة بدأت في 25 فبراير، أثناء تنفيذ الشرطة تفتيشاً روتينياً ضمن إجراءات المراقبة، حيث عُثر في غرفة نوم المتهم، جيمي بورن البالغ من العمر 30 عاماً، على دمية بحجم طفل. وبعد التنسيق مع مكتب المدعي العام، عادت السلطات في 27 فبراير لتوسيع نطاق التحقيق.
ادعاء العمل في منصة روبلوكس والشركة تنفي
وخلال التحقيق، ادعى المتهم أنه يعمل مبرمجاً لدى منصة الألعاب الشهيرة روبلوكس، الموجهة للأطفال والمراهقين.
ووفقًا للمدعية العامة ليز موريل، التي ذكرت أن بورن مبرمج روبلوكس، كانت الدمية «ترتدي بذلة نوم».
وادعت الشرطة أنها عثرت في منزل بورن على ملابس أطفال، بالإضافة إلى واقيات ذكرية مستعملة وغير مستعملة، وعدة أجهزة تحتوي على محتوى استغلال جنسي للأطفال.
كما أخبر المشتبه به الشرطة بأنه مبرمج روبلوكس. لكن متحدثًا باسم روبلوكس صرّح بأن بورن لم يعمل قط لدى الشركة.
وقالت الشركة لقناة WBRZ: «هذا الشخص ليس موظفًا في روبلوكس، ولم يكن كذلك أبدًا».
وأكدوا أن بورن كان يمتلك حسابًا لتصميم الألعاب، المعروفة باسم «التجارب»، على المنصة.
وقال المتحدث: «تتيح منصة روبلوكس للأشخاص غير المنتسبين للشركة إنشاء تجارب تخضع لمعايير مجتمعنا الصارمة».
وأشارت إلى أنها قامت بإغلاق الحسابات المرتبطة بالمتهم وحظر نشاطه، التزاماً بسياسات السلوك خارج المنصة.
تفاصيل صادمة داخل المنزل
رافق فريق التحقيق عنصر من وحدة مكافحة جرائم الإنترنت ضد الأطفال التابعة لمكتب المدعي العام، حيث لاحظت أن الدمية تحمل ملامح واضحة لطفل دون سن 18 عاماً، وكانت ترتدي ملابس أطفال.
كما عُثر بجوارها على أدوات ذات طابع جنسي، ما عزز الشبهات حول طبيعة الاستخدام.
وخلال الاستجواب، أقر المتهم بأنه استورد الدمية من الصين، مبرراً ذلك بشعوره المتكرر بـ«الوحدة».
اعتراف وضبط أدلة رقمية
وفي تطور لافت، اعترف المتهم بحيازته مواد إباحية للأطفال، ما أدى إلى توقيفه فوراً.
وصادرت السلطات عدة أجهزة إلكترونية، بينها أقراص صلبة متعددة، تأكد لاحقاً احتواؤها على مواد إباحية لقاصرين.
اتهامات ثقيلة وقضية تتصاعد
وُجهت إلى المتهم 40 تهمة جنائية تتعلق بحيازة مواد إباحية لأطفال دون سن 13 عاماً، إضافة إلى تهمة جنائية أخرى تتعلق بحيازة واستيراد دمية جنسية للأطفال.
وحددت المحكمة كفالة مالية قدرها مليونا دولار لجرائم المواد الإباحية، و50 ألف دولار لتهمة الدمية.
خلفية: دعوى ضد روبلوكس بسبب سلامة الأطفال
تأتي هذه القضية في سياق جدل متصاعد، بعد أن رفع مكتب المدعي العام دعوى قضائية ضد منصة روبلوكس في أغسطس الماضي، متهماً إياها بالتقصير في حماية الأطفال من المحتوى الضار والمفترسين.
وقالت المدعية العامة ليز موريل إن المنصة «تعج بمحتوى ضار ومفترسين، نتيجة تغليب النمو والأرباح على سلامة الأطفال».
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security arrested a man in New Orleans after finding child pornography and a sex doll designed to resemble a minor in his home.
According to the arrest report, the incident began on February 25, during a routine police search as part of surveillance procedures, where a doll the size of a child was found in the bedroom of the accused, 30-year-old Jimmy Bourne. After coordinating with the District Attorney’s office, authorities returned on February 27 to expand the investigation.
Claim of working at Roblox and the company denies it
During the investigation, the accused claimed that he worked as a programmer for the popular gaming platform Roblox, aimed at children and teenagers.
According to District Attorney Liz Murrell, who stated that Bourne is a Roblox programmer, the doll “was wearing pajamas.”
The police claimed they found children’s clothing in Bourne’s home, in addition to used and unused condoms, and several devices containing child sexual exploitation content.
The suspect also told the police that he was a Roblox programmer. However, a spokesperson for Roblox stated that Bourne had never worked for the company.
The company told WBRZ: “This person is not an employee of Roblox, nor has he ever been.”
They confirmed that Bourne had an account for designing games, known as “experiences,” on the platform.
The spokesperson said: “The Roblox platform allows individuals not affiliated with the company to create experiences that adhere to our strict community standards.”
They noted that they had closed the accounts associated with the accused and banned his activity, in compliance with off-platform conduct policies.
Shocking details inside the home
The investigation team was accompanied by a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children unit from the District Attorney’s office, who noted that the doll had clear features of a child under 18 years old and was wearing children’s clothing.
Sexual items were also found next to it, which raised suspicions about the nature of its use.
During the interrogation, the accused admitted that he imported the doll from China, justifying it by expressing his recurring feelings of “loneliness.”
Confession and digital evidence seized
In a notable development, the accused confessed to possessing child pornography, leading to his immediate arrest.
Authorities seized several electronic devices, including multiple hard drives, which were later confirmed to contain pornography involving minors.
Serious charges and a rising case
The accused was charged with 40 criminal counts related to the possession of child pornography involving children under 13 years old, in addition to another criminal charge related to the possession and importation of a sex doll for children.
The court set bail at two million dollars for the pornography charges and 50 thousand dollars for the doll charge.
Background: Lawsuit against Roblox over child safety
This case comes amid rising controversy, after the District Attorney’s office filed a lawsuit against the Roblox platform last August, accusing it of failing to protect children from harmful content and predators.
District Attorney Liz Murrell stated that the platform “is rife with harmful content and predators, due to prioritizing growth and profits over child safety.”
