افتتح رئيس أوزبكستان شوكت ميرضيائيف مركز الحضارة الإسلامية في العاصمة طشقند، خلال أجواء روحانية مميزة في شهر رمضان المبارك، في حدث يعكس اهتمام أوزبكستان بإبراز إرثها الإسلامي وتعزيز حضورها الحضاري على المستوى الدولي.

وشهد هذا الحدث حضورًا لافتًا لشخصيات رسمية ودينية ودبلوماسية، فيما برزت المشاركة السعودية من خلال هدية مباركة قدّمتها المملكة العربية السعودية، تمثلت في قطعة من كسوة الكعبة المشرفة، بأمر من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، في تجسيد لعمق العلاقات الأخوية بين البلدين ودور المملكة الريادي في خدمة الإسلام.

وكان وزير الحج والعمرة الدكتور توفيق الربيعة قد سلّم القطعة إلى الرئيس الأوزبكي في وقت سابق، حيث أثنى على جهود المملكة في تطوير منظومة الحج والعمرة، وما توفره من تسهيلات لضيوف الرحمن من مختلف دول العالم، ومنهم مواطنو أوزبكستان.

ويُعد المركز إضافة نوعية للتراث الإسلامي العالمي، إذ يضم مقتنيات نادرة، من أبرزها مصحف عثمان رضي الله عنه، إلى جانب آلاف المخطوطات والقطع التاريخية، فيما تمثل قطعة كسوة الكعبة المشرفة رمزًا للعلاقات المتينة بين الرياض وطشقند، ودعم المملكة للمشاريع الثقافية التي تعزز الهوية الإسلامية عالميًا.

وفي هذا السياق، أكد سفير أوزبكستان لدى المملكة نادرجان تورغونوف في تصريح إلى «عكاظ» أن هذه المبادرة السعودية «تعكس المكانة الروحية الكبيرة للمملكة في قلوب المسلمين، وتجسد حرص قيادتها على دعم المشاريع الحضارية التي تخدم التراث الإسلامي»، مشيرًا إلى أن «إهداء قطعة من كسوة الكعبة المشرفة لمركز الحضارة الإسلامية في طشقند يحمل دلالات عميقة على متانة العلاقات بين البلدين، ويعزز جسور التواصل الثقافي والديني بين الشعبين الشقيقين».

وأضاف: «المملكة تُعد شريكًا رئيسيًا لأوزبكستان في مجالات التعاون الثقافي والإسلامي، وهذا الدعم يسهم في إبراز المركز كمنارة علمية وروحية على مستوى العالم الإسلامي».

The Minister of Hajj presented a piece of the Kaaba’s covering to the President of the Republic

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, inaugurated the Islamic Civilization Center in the capital, Tashkent, during a unique spiritual atmosphere in the blessed month of Ramadan, in an event that reflects Uzbekistan’s interest in highlighting its Islamic heritage and enhancing its civilizational presence on the international level.

This event witnessed a remarkable attendance of official, religious, and diplomatic figures, with significant participation from Saudi Arabia through a blessed gift presented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which consisted of a piece of the Kaaba’s covering, ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, embodying the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries and the Kingdom’s leading role in serving Islam.

Earlier, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, handed over the piece to the Uzbek president, praising the Kingdom’s efforts in developing the Hajj and Umrah system and the facilities it provides for the guests of Allah from various countries, including the citizens of Uzbekistan.

The center is a qualitative addition to the global Islamic heritage, as it includes rare collections, most notably the Uthman Quran, along with thousands of manuscripts and historical pieces, while the piece of the Kaaba’s covering symbolizes the strong relations between Riyadh and Tashkent and the Kingdom’s support for cultural projects that enhance Islamic identity globally.

In this context, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom, Nadirjan Turgunov, stated in a statement to “Okaz” that this Saudi initiative “reflects the great spiritual status of the Kingdom in the hearts of Muslims and embodies its leadership’s keenness to support civilizational projects that serve Islamic heritage,” noting that “the gift of a piece of the Kaaba’s covering to the Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent carries deep connotations of the strength of relations between the two countries and enhances cultural and religious communication bridges between the two brotherly peoples.”

He added: “The Kingdom is a key partner for Uzbekistan in the fields of cultural and Islamic cooperation, and this support contributes to highlighting the center as a scientific and spiritual beacon at the level of the Islamic world.”
