بعد إعلان وزارة الداخلية القطرية تعامل فرق ​الدفاع المدني ⁠مع حريق اندلع ⁠في منطقة رأس لفان ​عقب هجوم إيراني، أعربت قطر عن إدانتها واستنكارها الشديدين للاستهداف الإيراني الغاشم لمدينة رأس لفان الصناعية، الذي تسبب في حرائق نتجت عنها أضرار جسيمة في المنشأة.

ووصفت وزارة الخارجية القطرية في بيان على حسابها في «إكس» الاعتداء بـ«التصعيد الخطير والانتهاك الصارخ لسيادة الدولة»، مؤكدة أن هذا الاعتداء تهديد مباشر لأمنها الوطني واستقرار المنطقة.

وقالت الوزارة: «دولة قطر، ورغم نأيها بنفسها عن هذه الحرب منذ بدايتها، وحرصها على عدم الانخراط في أي تصعيد، إلا أن الجانب الإيراني يصرّ على استهدافها واستهداف دول الجوار، في نهج غير مسؤول يقوّض الأمن الإقليمي ويهدد السلم الدولي».

وأشارت الوزارة إلى أن دولة قطر دعت مراراً إلى ضرورة عدم استهداف المنشآت المدنية ومنشآت الطاقة، بما في ذلك في أراضي إيران، حفاظاً على مقدرات شعوب المنطقة وصوناً للأمن والسلم الدوليين، إلا أن الجانب الإيراني يواصل سياساته التصعيدية التي تدفع بالمنطقة نحو الهاوية، وتزج بدول ليست طرفاً في هذه الأزمة في دائرة الصراع.

وأكدت الوزارة أن هذا الاعتداء يشكّل خرقاً لقرار مجلس الأمن رقم (2817)، مجددةً دعوتها لمجلس الأمن إلى تحمّل مسؤولياته في حفظ السلم والأمن الدوليين، واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لوقف هذه الانتهاكات الخطيرة وردع مرتكبيها.

وجددت الوزارة تأكيدها على أن دولة قطر تحتفظ بحقها في الرد، وفقاً للمادة (51) من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، وبما يكفله القانون الدولي من حق الدفاع عن النفس، مشددة على أنها لن تتهاون في اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات اللازمة لحماية سيادتها وأمنها وسلامة مواطنيها والمقيمين على أراضيها.

وطالبت وزارة الداخلية القطرية جميع مواطنيها والمقيمين بالبقاء في أماكن آمنة، مبينة أن مستوى التهديد الأمني مرتفع.

وكانت شركة «قطر للطاقة» أعلنت تعرض مدينة رأس لفان الصناعية مساء اليوم (الأربعاء) لهجمات صاروخية، موضحة أنه تم على الفور نشر فرق الاستجابة للطوارئ لاحتواء الحرائق الناتجة عن الهجوم.

وقالت الشركة في بيان إن الهجمات تسببت في أضرار جسيمة، مؤكدة أنه لم تُسجَّل أي وفيات نتيجة الهجوم.

After the Qatari Ministry of Interior announced that civil defense teams were dealing with a fire that broke out in the Ras Laffan area following an Iranian attack, Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the brutal Iranian targeting of the Ras Laffan industrial city, which caused fires resulting in significant damage to the facility.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack in a statement on its account on “X” as “a serious escalation and a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the state,” affirming that this attack is a direct threat to its national security and the stability of the region.

The ministry stated: “The State of Qatar, despite distancing itself from this war since its inception and its keenness not to engage in any escalation, the Iranian side insists on targeting it and neighboring countries, in a reckless approach that undermines regional security and threatens international peace.”

The ministry pointed out that the State of Qatar has repeatedly called for the necessity of not targeting civilian facilities and energy installations, including those in Iranian territory, in order to preserve the resources of the peoples of the region and to safeguard international security and peace. However, the Iranian side continues its escalatory policies that push the region towards the abyss and drag countries that are not parties to this crisis into the circle of conflict.

The ministry confirmed that this attack constitutes a violation of Security Council Resolution No. (2817), reiterating its call for the Security Council to assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and to take the necessary measures to stop these serious violations and deter their perpetrators.

The ministry reiterated that the State of Qatar reserves its right to respond, in accordance with Article (51) of the United Nations Charter, and as guaranteed by international law regarding the right to self-defense, emphasizing that it will not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.

The Qatari Ministry of Interior urged all its citizens and residents to stay in safe places, indicating that the level of security threat is high.

QatarEnergy announced that the Ras Laffan industrial city was subjected to missile attacks this evening (Wednesday), clarifying that emergency response teams were immediately deployed to contain the fires resulting from the attack.

The company stated in a statement that the attacks caused significant damage, confirming that no fatalities were recorded as a result of the attack.
