واشنطن ترسل 2200 من مشاة البحرية الأمريكية إلى الشرق الأوسط – أخبار السعودية
في خطوة تعكس تصاعد التوترات المرتبطة بالحرب مع إيران، أمرت وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية (البنتاغون) بإرسال وحدة من مشاة البحرية الأمريكية تضم نحو 2200 جندي ترافقها 3 سفن حربية برمائية من اليابان باتجاه الشرق الأوسط، في تحرك عسكري جديد يعكس استعداد واشنطن لتوسيع حضورها العسكري في المنطقة.
قوة «المارينز» تتحرك من اليابان
وأوضح مسؤولون أمريكيون لشبكة ABC News أن عملية الانتشار تتركز حول الوحدة الاستكشافية البحرية الـ31، وهي قوة متقدمة متمركزة في اليابان وتعمل عادة في منطقة المحيطين الهندي والهادئ.
وتقود هذا التحرك مجموعة «تريبولي» البرمائية الجاهزة التي تتصدرها السفينة الهجومية البرمائية USS Tripoli من فئة America، وهي سفينة قادرة على حمل طائرات ومروحيات وقوات إنزال بحرية.
3 سفن حربية في المهمة
وذكر موقع USNI News أن السفينة Tripoli كانت تعمل مطلع الأسبوع الجاري في بحر الفلبين إلى جانب السفينتين الحربيتين USS San Diego وUSS New Orleans، وهما السفينتان اللتان تكملان مجموعة Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group.
وأشار التقرير إلى أن المسؤولين الدفاعيين أكدوا توجه السفينة Tripoli وقوات المارينز الموجودة على متنها إلى الشرق الأوسط، فيما لا يزال غير واضح ما إذا كانت السفن الثلاث ستتحرك جميعها معاً نحو المنطقة.
هل ستُستخدم كقوة برية في إيران؟
وأوضحت الشبكة الأمريكية: «لا يعني نشر هذه الوحدة أنها ستُستخدم كقوة برية في إيران، لكنها توفر قدرات برية وبرمائية وجوية يمكن أن تكون متاحة للقادة العسكريين إذا دعت الحاجة».
وأضافت: «كما تضم هذه الوحدة تحديداً سرباً من مقاتلات F-35، وسرباً من طائرات MV-22 أوسبري ذات المراوح القلابة».
وقال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب الجمعة: «إننا ندمر النظام الإرهابي في إيران تدميراً شاملاً؛ عسكرياً واقتصادياً ومن كافة النواحي الأخرى».
وتابع: «إننا نمتلك قوة نيران لا مثيل لها، وذخائر غير محدودة، ووقتاً وفيراً؛ فترقبوا ما سيحل بهؤلاء الحثالة المختلين عقلياً اليوم».
وذكر ترمب، الخميس، أن ما يهمه هو منع إيران من امتلاك أسلحة نووية وتدمير الشرق الأوسط وربما العالم.
رسالة عسكرية واضحة
حتى مع غموض التفاصيل الكاملة للمهمة، فإن الرسالة القادمة من واشنطن تبدو واضحة:
إرسال قوة برمائية سريعة الحركة تضم قوات مشاة البحرية وطائرات دعم ولوجستيات بحرية إلى إحدى أكثر مناطق العالم توتراً.
وذكرت صحيفة وول ستريت جورنال أن وزير الدفاع الأمريكي بيت هيغسيث وافق على طلب من القيادة المركزية الأمريكية لإرسال عنصر من مجموعة برمائية مع وحدة من المارينز، في ظل تصاعد الضغوط الأمنية نتيجة تحركات إيران في مضيق هرمز.
وتُعد هذه الوحدة من القوات المصممة للاستجابة السريعة للأزمات، بما يشمل عمليات الإجلاء والإنزال والمهام العسكرية الخاصة، ما يمنح البيت الأبيض والبنتاغون خيارات عسكرية إضافية في ظل التوترات الحالية.
مضيق هرمز في قلب التصعيد
ربطت تقارير عدة هذا التحرك العسكري بالتدهور الأمني في مضيق هرمز، حيث تسببت الهجمات والتهديدات الإيرانية في اضطراب حركة الملاحة البحرية.

In a move reflecting the rising tensions associated with the war with Iran, the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) has ordered the deployment of a unit of U.S. Marines comprising approximately 2,200 soldiers, accompanied by three amphibious warships from Japan to the Middle East, in a new military maneuver that indicates Washington’s readiness to expand its military presence in the region.
Marine Force Moves from Japan
U.S. officials explained to ABC News that the deployment focuses on the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, an advanced force stationed in Japan that typically operates in the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
This movement is led by the Amphibious Ready Group Tripoli, headed by the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli, an America-class vessel capable of carrying aircraft, helicopters, and marine landing forces.
3 Warships on the Mission
USNI News reported that the USS Tripoli was operating earlier this week in the Philippine Sea alongside the warships USS San Diego and USS New Orleans, which complete the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group.
The report indicated that defense officials confirmed the USS Tripoli and the Marines aboard are heading to the Middle East, although it remains unclear whether all three ships will move together to the region.
Will They Be Used as Ground Forces in Iran?
The American network clarified: “The deployment of this unit does not mean it will be used as ground forces in Iran, but it provides ground, amphibious, and air capabilities that could be available to military leaders if needed.”
It added: “This unit specifically includes a squadron of F-35 fighters and a squadron of MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft.”
President Donald Trump stated on Friday: “We are completely destroying the terrorist regime in Iran; militarily, economically, and in every other way.”
He continued: “We have unmatched firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time; so watch what will happen to these mentally deranged scum today.”
Trump mentioned on Thursday that what matters to him is preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and destroying the Middle East and possibly the world.
Clear Military Message
Even with the ambiguity surrounding the full details of the mission, the message coming from Washington seems clear:
Deploying a rapidly mobile amphibious force that includes Marine Corps troops and logistical support aircraft to one of the most tense regions in the world.
The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth approved a request from U.S. Central Command to send an element of an amphibious group with a unit of Marines, amid rising security pressures due to Iran’s movements in the Strait of Hormuz.
This unit is designed for rapid crisis response, including evacuation, landing, and special military operations, providing the White House and Pentagon with additional military options amid current tensions.
Strait of Hormuz at the Heart of Escalation
Several reports have linked this military move to the deteriorating security situation in the Strait of Hormuz, where Iranian attacks and threats have disrupted maritime navigation.
The Guardian noted that shipping traffic through the strait has significantly declined this month compared to the same period last year, reflecting the economic risks associated with military escalation in the region.
Flexible Force for Deterrence and Combat Operations
So far, the Pentagon has not announced the full details of the mission for the forces and ships heading to the Middle East, but the nature of these military formations provides clear indicators of their potential role; amphibious groups and Marine units are considered flexible forces capable of executing multiple missions, ranging from deterrence patrols to urgent combat operations.
The transfer of approximately 2,200 Marines from Japan to the Middle East indicates that the United States is not merely observing the crisis from afar but is positioning forces capable of rapid movement should threats to maritime navigation escalate or if U.S. bases and Washington’s allies in the region face further attacks.
