انطلقت في مدينة عدن بطولة البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن لمنتخبات المحافظات لكرة الطائرة، خلال الفترة من 12- 16 رمضان، وذلك برعاية وزير الشباب والرياضة نايف صالح البكري، ووزير الدولة لمحافظة عدن عبدالرحمن شيخ، وبدعم من البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، وبإشراف وزارة الشباب والرياضة، وبتنظيم من الاتحاد اليمني لكرة الطائرة.

وتُقام منافسات البطولة في صالة علي أسعد مثنى الرياضية في عدن، بمشاركة 5 منتخبات تمثل محافظات: عدن، وتعز، وأبين، ولحج، والضالع، حيث يضم كل منتخب 17 فردًا من لاعبين، وإداريين، وفنيين، ويبلغ عدد المستفيدين المباشرين أكثر من 250 مستفيدًا من اللاعبين، والإداريين، والمنظمين، والإعلاميين؛ بما يعكس الأثر الرياضي والمجتمعي للبطولة، ويعزز من فرص التنافس واكتشاف المواهب على مستوى المنتخبات.

وتأتي هذه البطولة ضمن جهود البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن في إعادة تنشيط الحركة الرياضية، ودعم الاتحادات والأندية والمنتخبات، وتمكين الشباب من ممارسة أنشطتهم الرياضية في بيئة مناسبة ومحفزة.

وتعد المملكة العربية السعودية رائدة في مجال دعم الشباب والرياضة في الجمهورية اليمنية الشقيقة، عبر البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، وتقدم دعمًا متواصلًا من خلال مشاريع ومبادرات رياضية وشبابية شملت إعادة تأهيل المنشآت الرياضية، وإنشاء الملاعب ورعاية البطولات، وتقديم الدعم الفني، ونقل الخبرات في مجال الرياضة، سعيًا إلى تعزيز قدرات الشباب اليمني؛ بما يسهم في بناء مستقبل أكثر إشراقًا للأجيال القادمة.

ويسعى البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن إلى تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة التي تركز على ضمان صحة جيدة لجميع الأعمار، وتوفير بيئة رياضية حديثة تشجع على المشاركة الفاعلة والإسهام في بناء مجتمع رياضي. وحرص البرنامج على تنفيذ مشاريع رياضية تواكب أحدث المعايير العالمية، من أبرزها إنشاء ملاعب رياضية بمواصفات الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا»، مثل: ملاعب أندية الجزيرة، والروضة، والميناء، بمحافظة عدن، وتتيح هذه المنشآت للشباب بيئة رياضية مميزة تمكنهم من ممارسة الرياضة على أعلى مستوى.

ويعد تنمية مهارات النشء وتعزيز قدراتهم الرياضية أحد المجالات التي يدعمها البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، إذ نفَّذ أكثر من 30 ملعبًا رياضيًا مخصصًا للرياضات المختلفة في المدارس النموذجية المنتشرة في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية، التي أسهمت في نشر ثقافة اللياقة البدنية، وغرس أساليب الحياة الصحية؛ مما يسهم في بناء مهارات النشء وتعزيز قدرات البراعم رياضيًا والإسهام في بناء جيل من الشباب الرياضي.

ولم تقتصر جهود البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن على تطوير المنشآت الرياضية؛ بل شملت أيضًا تنظيم العديد من البطولات الرياضية التي تتيح الفرصة للشباب للتنافس وإظهار مهاراتهم، من بينها بطولة مأرب الرياضية لكرة القدم التي شهدت مشاركة 14 ناديًا و588 شابًا، إضافة إلى بطولة حضرموت الرياضية لكرة السلة التي شارك فيها 17 ناديًا و289 شابًا، وكذلك بطولة كرة الطائرة بمشاركة 10 أندية و140 شابًا، وأسهمت هذه البطولات في تعزيز التنافس الرياضي ودعم الرياضية والرياضيين.

وسعى البرنامج لإعادة النشاط الرياضي لتأهيل صالة علي أسعد مثنى الرياضية في محافظة عدن، بعد فترة من التوقف، كما وقع في يونيو 2020 مذكرة تعاون مشترك مع وزارة الرياضة استمرارًا لجهود المملكة في تسخير جميع إمكانات الجهات الحكومية لمساعدة الأشقاء في اليمن، إلى جانب تأهيل المختصين في مجالات الرياضة والشباب، وتمكين الشباب اليمني وتطوير قدرات الممارسين الرياضيين، كما احتفى ببعثة المنتخب اليمني للناشئين بعد فوزهم ببطولة غرب آسيا للناشئين.

يذكر أن البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن قدم 268 مشروعًا ومبادرة تنموية في 8 قطاعات أساسية وحيوية، هي: التعليم، والصحة، والمياه، والطاقة، والنقل، والزراعة والثروة السمكية، وتنمية ودعم قدرات الحكومة اليمنية، والبرامج التنموية، في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية.

The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen launched a volleyball championship for provincial teams in the city of Aden, during the period from the 12th to the 16th of Ramadan, under the patronage of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri, and the Minister of State for Aden Governorate, Abdulrahman Sheikh, with support from the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, supervised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and organized by the Yemeni Volleyball Federation.

The championship matches are held at the Ali As’ad Muthana Sports Hall in Aden, with the participation of 5 teams representing the provinces of Aden, Taiz, Abyan, Lahij, and Al-Dhale’e, where each team includes 17 individuals consisting of players, administrators, and technicians. The number of direct beneficiaries exceeds 250, including players, administrators, organizers, and media personnel, reflecting the sports and community impact of the championship and enhancing opportunities for competition and talent discovery at the team level.

This championship is part of the efforts of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen to reactivate sports activities, support federations, clubs, and teams, and empower youth to engage in sports activities in a suitable and motivating environment.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a leader in supporting youth and sports in the sisterly Republic of Yemen through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, providing continuous support through sports and youth projects and initiatives, including the rehabilitation of sports facilities, the establishment of playgrounds, sponsorship of championships, providing technical support, and transferring expertise in the field of sports, aiming to enhance the capabilities of Yemeni youth, contributing to building a brighter future for the coming generations.

The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen aims to achieve sustainable development goals that focus on ensuring good health for all ages and providing a modern sports environment that encourages active participation and contributes to building a sports community. The program is keen to implement sports projects that meet the latest global standards, including the establishment of sports fields that comply with FIFA specifications, such as the fields of Al-Jazeera, Al-Rawda, and Al-Mina clubs in Aden, providing these facilities to youth with an exceptional sports environment that enables them to practice sports at the highest level.

Developing the skills of youth and enhancing their sports capabilities is one of the areas supported by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, which has implemented more than 30 sports fields dedicated to various sports in model schools spread across different Yemeni provinces, contributing to spreading the culture of physical fitness and instilling healthy lifestyle practices, thus helping to build the skills of youth and enhance the capabilities of young athletes, contributing to the development of a generation of sports youth.

The efforts of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen were not limited to developing sports facilities; they also included organizing many sports championships that provide opportunities for youth to compete and showcase their skills, including the Marib Sports Championship in football, which witnessed the participation of 14 clubs and 588 young men, in addition to the Hadhramaut Sports Championship in basketball, which involved 17 clubs and 289 young men, as well as a volleyball championship with the participation of 10 clubs and 140 young men. These championships contributed to enhancing sports competition and supporting athletes and sports.

The program sought to reactivate sports activities by rehabilitating the Ali As’ad Muthana Sports Hall in Aden Governorate after a period of inactivity. In June 2020, it signed a memorandum of joint cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, continuing the Kingdom’s efforts to harness all governmental capabilities to assist their brothers in Yemen, alongside training specialists in the fields of sports and youth, empowering Yemeni youth, and developing the capabilities of sports practitioners. It also celebrated the Yemeni junior national team’s delegation after their victory in the West Asian Junior Championship.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen has provided 268 developmental projects and initiatives in 8 essential and vital sectors, which are: education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, development and support of the Yemeni government’s capabilities, and developmental programs across various Yemeni provinces.
