وسط التهديدات المتبادلة بين واشنطن وطهران، والتحشيد العسكري الأمريكي في الشرق الأوسط، كشف مسؤول إيراني أن بلاده ستعقد جولة جديدة من المحادثات غير المباشرة مع الولايات المتحدة مطلع مارس القادم.

وقال المسؤول اليوم (الأحد) إن هناك إمكانية للتوصل إلى اتفاق مؤقت مع الجانب الأمريكي، وفق ما نقلت وكالة رويترز.

وأضاف أن طهران وواشنطن تختلفان في وجهات النظر بشأن نطاق وآلية رفع العقوبات. وأضاف أنه اعتبر أنه يمكن مناقشة تصدير جزء من مخزون اليورانيوم عالي التخصيب الموجود في الداخل الإيراني إلى الخارج. ولفت إلى «احتمال تخفيف مستوى نقاء اليورانيوم والانضمام إلى تحالف إقليمي»، ضمن أي اتفاق مرتقب بين البلدين.

وأكد المصدر المسؤول على وجوب الاعتراف بحق إيران في تخصيب اليورانيوم، في إطار معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية.

وشدد على أن طهران لن تسلم السيطرة على مواردها النفطية والمعدنية إلى أمريكا، لكنه تحدث عن إمكانية مشاركة الشركات الأمريكية كمتعاقدة في حقول النفط والغاز الإيرانية.

وكان وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي توقع يوم الجمعة الماضي إعداد مسودة مقترح خلال أيام عقب الجولة الثانية من المحادثات النووية التي عقدت هذا الأسبوع مع الولايات المتحدة في جنيف. في وقت كرر الرئيس دونالد ترمب التلميح إلى أنه يدرس شن هجمات عسكرية محدودة.

وأعطى ترمب طهران مهلة تتراوح بين 10 أيام و15 يوماً للتوصل إلى اتفاق أو مواجهة «أمور سيئة للغاية»، وسط تعزيزات عسكرية أمريكية في الشرق الأوسط تثير مخاوف من اندلاع حرب أوسع نطاقاً.

وكشف مسؤولان أمريكيان أن تخطيط الجيش الأمريكي بشأن إيران وصل إلى مرحلة متقدمة مع وجود خيارات تتضمن استهداف أفراد في إطار هجوم محدود، أو السعي إلى تغيير النظام في طهران إذا أمر ترمب بذلك.

Amid the mutual threats between Washington and Tehran, and the American military buildup in the Middle East, an Iranian official revealed that his country will hold a new round of indirect talks with the United States at the beginning of next March.

The official said today (Sunday) that there is a possibility of reaching a temporary agreement with the American side, according to what Reuters reported.

He added that Tehran and Washington differ in their views regarding the scope and mechanism of lifting sanctions. He mentioned that he considered it possible to discuss exporting part of the stockpile of highly enriched uranium currently in Iran to abroad. He pointed out the “possibility of reducing the level of uranium purity and joining a regional alliance,” as part of any anticipated agreement between the two countries.

The responsible source emphasized the necessity of recognizing Iran’s right to enrich uranium, within the framework of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

He stressed that Tehran will not relinquish control over its oil and mineral resources to the U.S., but he spoke about the possibility of American companies participating as contractors in Iranian oil and gas fields.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had predicted last Friday that a draft proposal would be prepared within days following the second round of nuclear talks held this week with the United States in Geneva. At the same time, President Donald Trump reiterated hints that he is considering launching limited military strikes.

Trump gave Tehran a deadline of between 10 to 15 days to reach an agreement or face “very bad things,” amid American military reinforcements in the Middle East that raise fears of a wider war.

Two American officials revealed that U.S. military planning regarding Iran has reached an advanced stage, with options that include targeting individuals as part of a limited attack, or seeking to change the regime in Tehran if Trump orders it.
