رغم مرور نحو عامين على مقتلها، إلا أن الغموض لا يزال يكتنف الحادثة، لكن مصادر سورية كشفت ظروف تصفية لونا الشبل المستشارة الإعلامية السابقة للرئيس السوري المخلوع بشار الأسد.

وقال الإعلامي السوري الموالي للنظام السابق شادي حلوة: إن الشبل قُتلت قبل أن تكشف ما وُصف بأنه «أسرار خطيرة» تتعلق ببشار الأسد.

وبحسب ما نقلته قناتا «العربية/الحدث»، عن حلوة، فإن عملية تصفية لونا جاءت بأمر مباشر من الأسد عبر وزير شؤون رئاسة الجمهورية السابق منصور عزام، الذي وُصف بأنه «الصندوق الأسود» للرئيس المخلوع.

وحسب المعلومات، فقد اتصل عزام بالشبل وطلب حضورها إلى القصر قبل اغتيالها، كما طُلب منها اصطحاب مرافقها إلى منزلها.

وكشفت المعلومات أن الشبل تعرضت للضرب على الرأس حتى الموت، قبل أن تُعلن وفاتها لاحقاً، إذ قيل إنها وُضعت في قسم العناية المشددة «شكلياً» بعد أن كانت قد فارقت الحياة. واعتبر حلوة أن التعامل مع جنازتها تم بإهمال متعمد.

ولفتت التسريبات إلى صراعات داخلية في القصر الجمهوري، وأن الشبل كانت تتمتع بعلاقة قوية مع الجانب الروسي، وأن أسماء الأسد تدخلت لوقف نفوذها، وقامت بتجريدها من مهماتها الإعلامية. وتحدثت المعلومات أن الشبل كانت تنقل أموالاً تخص الأسد إلى موسكو. كما وجهت اتهامات إيرانية للشبل بأنها «جاسوسة»، إضافة إلى القول إن شقيقها أُعدم بتهمة التخابر مع إسرائيل.

وتحدثت أن الشبل أُوقفت عن العمل قبل فترة قصيرة من عملية تصفيتها. وتضمنت التسريبات إشارات إلى دور رجل الأعمال حسام القاطرجي في نقل النفط من مناطق خاضعة لتنظيم داعش وقوات سورية الديمقراطية إلى مناطق سيطرة النظام.

وفي يوليو 2024، وبينما كانت حرب الإبادة الإسرائيلية في غزة تتصدر العناوين، وُجدت الشبل جثة في سيارتها الـ BMW على طريق سريع خارج دمشق، في حين وصف حينها إعلام النظام الأمر بأنه حادثة سير.

لكن اللافت أن سيارتها لم تتعرض إلا لأضرار طفيفة، فيما وجدت جمجمتها مهشمة. وسرت سريعاً شائعات حينها بأنها قُتلت بأوامر من طهران بتهمة تسريب معلومات استخباراتية للإسرائيليين.

Despite nearly two years since her murder, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain shrouded in mystery. However, Syrian sources have revealed details about the assassination of Luna al-Shibl, the former media advisor to the ousted Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.

The pro-regime Syrian journalist Shadi Halwa stated that al-Shibl was killed before she could reveal what was described as “dangerous secrets” related to Bashar al-Assad.

According to reports from the channels “Al-Arabiya/Al-Hadath,” Halwa indicated that the assassination of Luna was ordered directly by Assad through the former Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mansour Azzam, who was described as the “black box” of the ousted president.

According to the information, Azzam contacted al-Shibl and requested her presence at the palace before her assassination, and she was also asked to bring her companion to her home.

The information revealed that al-Shibl was beaten on the head to death before her death was later announced, as it was said that she was placed in the intensive care unit “formally” after she had already passed away. Halwa considered that the handling of her funeral was done with deliberate negligence.

Leaks pointed to internal conflicts within the presidential palace, noting that al-Shibl had a strong relationship with the Russian side, and that Asma al-Assad intervened to curb her influence, stripping her of her media duties. Reports indicated that al-Shibl was transferring funds belonging to Assad to Moscow. Additionally, Iranian accusations labeled al-Shibl as a “spy,” along with claims that her brother was executed on charges of espionage for Israel.

It was reported that al-Shibl was suspended from her work shortly before her assassination. The leaks included references to the role of businessman Hussam al-Qatirji in transporting oil from areas controlled by ISIS and the Syrian Democratic Forces to regime-controlled areas.

In July 2024, while the Israeli genocide in Gaza was making headlines, al-Shibl was found dead in her BMW on a highway outside Damascus, while regime media described the incident as a traffic accident at the time.

However, it is notable that her car only sustained minor damage, while her skull was found shattered. Rumors quickly spread at that time that she was killed on orders from Tehran for allegedly leaking intelligence information to the Israelis.
