فيما أمهل الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إيران مدة شهر من أجل التوصل لاتفاق بشأن برنامجها النووي، كشفت مصادر مطلعة أن حاملة طائرات جديدة ستتجه نحو منطقة الشرق الأوسط لتنضم إلى «أبراهام لنكولن» المتواجدة في بحر العرب.

حملة الضغط المتجددة

وأفادت المصادر بأن أكبر حاملة طائرات في العالم تلقت أوامر بالإبحار من البحر الكاريبي إلى الشرق الأوسط، في وقت يدرس فيه ترمب إمكانية اتخاذ إجراء عسكري ضد إيران، وفق ما أفادت وكالة «أسوشييتد برس»، اليوم (الجمعة).

وأفصح 4 مسؤولين أمريكيين أنه سيتم إرسال حاملة الطائرات الأمريكية «يو إس إس جيرالد آر. فورد» مع السفن المرافقة لها، التي نُشرت سابقاً في منطقة الكاريبي، إلى الشرق الأوسط. وأضافوا أنه «لا يُتوقع عودتها إلى موانئها قبل أواخر أبريل»، وأكدوا أن طاقم السفينة أبلغ بالقرار أمس (الخميس)، وفق صحيفة «نيويورك تايمز».

وستتلقى مجموعة «فورد» القتالية أوامر جديدة للانضمام إلى مجموعة حاملة الطائرات «يو إس إس أبراهام لينكولن» القتالية في المنطقة، في إطار حملة الضغط المتجددة التي يمارسها ترمب على إيران.

التحرك بسرعة كبيرة

وكان الرئيس الأمريكي ألمح أمس إلى إرسال حاملة طائرات ثانية إلى المنطقة، لكنه ولا البحرية الأمريكية حددا اسم السفينة.

وجد مساء الخميس خلال مؤتمر صحفي في البيت الأبيض الإعلان أنه يريد إبرام صفقة مع إيران خلال شهر. وقال: «علينا أن نُبرم صفقة، وإلا فسيكون الأمر مؤلمًا للغاية، مؤلمًا للغاية. لا أريد أن يحدث ذلك». وأضاف: «كان ينبغي عليهم أن يبرموا صفقة منذ المرة الأولى، لكنهم تلقّوا ضربة مطرقة منتصف الليل». وأكد أن «الأمر سيكون قاسيًا جدًا على إيران إذا لم تُبرم صفقة». واعتبر أنه «إذا لم تكن الصفقة جيدة جدا مع إيران، فستواجه على الأرجح وقتا صعبا للغاية».

ودعا ترمب السلطات الإيرانية إلى التقدم بسرعة، قائلاً: «أقدّر أنه خلال الشهر القادم أو نحو ذلك، يجب عليهم التحرك بسرعة كبيرة».

المجال الجوي الإيراني

في غضون ذلك، أوصت هيئة تنظيم سلامة الطيران التابعة للاتحاد الأوروبى، مساء أمس شركات الطيران التابعة للتكتل، بالبقاء خارج المجال الجوي الإيراني حتى 31 مارس، قائلة إنها تمدد تحذيرًا سابقًا، وفق ما نقلت وكالة رويترز.

وقالت الوكالة إن وجود واستخدام مجموعة واسعة من الأسلحة وأنظمة الدفاع الجوي، إلى جانب ردود فعل الدولة غير المتوقعة، يشكل خطرًا كبيرًا على الرحلات الجوية المدنية التي تعمل على جميع الارتفاعات ومستويات الطيران.

While U.S. President Donald Trump has given Iran a month to reach an agreement regarding its nuclear program, informed sources have revealed that a new aircraft carrier will head to the Middle East to join the “Abraham Lincoln” currently in the Arabian Sea.

The Renewed Pressure Campaign

Sources reported that the largest aircraft carrier in the world has been ordered to sail from the Caribbean to the Middle East, as Trump considers the possibility of taking military action against Iran, according to the Associated Press today (Friday).

Four U.S. officials disclosed that the American aircraft carrier “USS Gerald R. Ford,” along with its accompanying ships, which were previously deployed in the Caribbean, will be sent to the Middle East. They added that “it is not expected to return to its ports before late April,” and confirmed that the ship’s crew was informed of the decision yesterday (Thursday), according to the New York Times.

The “Ford” strike group will receive new orders to join the “USS Abraham Lincoln” carrier strike group in the region, as part of the renewed pressure campaign that Trump is exerting on Iran.

Moving Very Quickly

The U.S. president hinted yesterday at sending a second aircraft carrier to the region, but neither he nor the U.S. Navy specified the name of the ship.

During a press conference at the White House on Thursday evening, he announced that he wants to reach a deal with Iran within a month. He said, “We have to make a deal, otherwise it will be very painful, very painful. I don’t want that to happen.” He added, “They should have made a deal the first time, but they got hit with a midnight hammer.” He emphasized that “it will be very tough on Iran if a deal is not made.” He considered that “if the deal is not very good with Iran, they will likely face a very tough time.”

Trump urged Iranian authorities to move quickly, saying, “I appreciate that within the next month or so, they should move very quickly.”

The Iranian Airspace

Meanwhile, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency recommended yesterday evening that airlines belonging to the bloc stay out of Iranian airspace until March 31, stating that it is extending a previous warning, according to Reuters.

The agency stated that the presence and use of a wide range of weapons and air defense systems, along with unpredictable state responses, pose a significant risk to civil flights operating at all altitudes and flight levels.
