تشهد منظومة الرعاية الصحية في المملكة تحولاً نوعياً في إعداد وتأهيل الكوادر الوطنية، حيث كشفت بيانات المركز الوطني لتخطيط القوى العاملة الصحية، وصول إجمالي الممارسين الصحيين السعوديين إلى أكثر من 460 ألف ممارس في مختلف التخصصات، من أصل 800 ألف ممارس مسجل. ويعكس هذا النمو قفزة ملحوظة في حضور الكفاءات المحلية داخل القطاع الصحي بشكل عام.

وفي ما يخص مهنتي التمريض والقبالة، سجلت الكوادر السعودية صعوداً مستمراً في أعدادها لتصل إلى 110 آلاف ممارس، مساهمةً في رفع نسبة التوطين بهذا القطاع الحيوي من 30% في 2018 إلى 38% في 2026. ورغم الاعتماد القائم على الخبرات الأجنبية، التي يبلغ قوامها نحو 180 ألف ممارس، إلا أن المؤشرات تؤكد نجاح برامج التأهيل واستدامة رفد القطاع بالكوادر الوطنية المؤهلة، ليتجاوز إجمالي العاملين في هذا المجال 290 ألف ممارس.

وتبرز مهنة القبالة كركيزة أساسية في هذه المنظومة، نظراً إلى دورها الحيوي في تقديم الرعاية المتكاملة للنساء خلال رحلتي الحمل والولادة، ومتابعة المواليد حتى الأسبوع الثامن، وهو ما يسهم بشكل مباشر في خفض معدلات الوفيات وتعزيز سلامة الأمهات وحديثي الولادة. ومن هذا المنطلق، تولي وزارة الصحة اهتماماً فائقاً بتطوير برامج التدريب والالتزام بالمعايير المهنية العالمية لضمان أعلى مستويات الجودة.

وقد توجت هذه الجهود بتحقيق المملكة حضوراً لافتاً في الجوائز العربية بمجالي التمريض والقبالة، ما يجسد التزام المملكة بتعزيز معايير التميز والارتقاء بالأداء المهني، تأكيداً على ريادة المنظومة الصحية السعودية وقدرتها على تقديم رعاية طبية متطورة تضاهي المستويات العالمية.

The healthcare system in the Kingdom is witnessing a qualitative transformation in the preparation and qualification of national cadres, as data from the National Center for Health Workforce Planning revealed that the total number of Saudi health practitioners has reached over 460,000 in various specialties, out of 800,000 registered practitioners. This growth reflects a significant leap in the presence of local competencies within the healthcare sector in general.

Regarding the professions of nursing and midwifery, Saudi cadres have recorded a continuous increase in their numbers, reaching 110,000 practitioners, contributing to raising the localization rate in this vital sector from 30% in 2018 to 38% in 2026. Despite the reliance on foreign expertise, which amounts to about 180,000 practitioners, indicators confirm the success of qualification programs and the sustainability of supplying the sector with qualified national cadres, bringing the total number of workers in this field to over 290,000 practitioners.

The profession of midwifery stands out as a fundamental pillar in this system, due to its vital role in providing comprehensive care for women during pregnancy and childbirth, and monitoring newborns up to the eighth week, which directly contributes to reducing mortality rates and enhancing the safety of mothers and newborns. From this perspective, the Ministry of Health places exceptional emphasis on developing training programs and adhering to global professional standards to ensure the highest levels of quality.

These efforts have culminated in the Kingdom achieving a notable presence in Arab awards in the fields of nursing and midwifery, embodying the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing standards of excellence and elevating professional performance, affirming the leadership of the Saudi healthcare system and its ability to provide advanced medical care that rivals global standards.
