شن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب هجوماً لفظياً حاداً على النائبة الديمقراطية إلهان عمر، خلال مشاركته في فعالية بعنوان «لا ضرائب على الضمان الاجتماعي»، مستخدماً أوصافاً واتهامات شخصية أثارت جدلاً واسعاً في الأوساط السياسية والإعلامية.
اتهامات مثيرة للجدل
وفي مقطع فيديو متداول، وصف ترمب النائبة بـ«المزيفة»، وزعم أنها تزوجت من شقيقها، في تصريحات أعادت إلى الواجهة اتهامات قديمة لم تثبت قانونياً. كما وجّه انتقادات لاذعة للصومال، في سياق هجومه على عمر، وقال: “الصومال مكان جميل، ليس فيها حكومة ولا جيش وليس فيها أي شيء، لديها شيء واحد قوي حقا، الجريمة، فيها الكثير من الجرائم، ليس لديهم شرطة، كل ما يفعلونه هو إطلاق النار على بعضهم، وسخة بصورة تثير الاشمئزاز ومكان فظيع، يأتون هنا، وإلهان عمر، هل سمعتم عنها من قبل؟ تأتي هنا من الصومال وتقول لنا كيف ندير الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وتقول الدستور يمنحني حقوقا معينة، وأطالب بإعطائي هذه الحقوق، انصرفي، يا لك من مزيفة..”.
تصريحات حادة تتجاوز السياسة
وتجاوزت تصريحات ترمب الإطار السياسي إلى هجوم شخصي مباشر، إذ استخدم لغة قاسية وانتقادات حادة، ما أثار موجة من التفاعل والانتقادات، خصوصاً في ظل حساسية الخطاب المرتبط بالهجرة والخلفيات العرقية في الولايات المتحدة.
ردّ ناري عبر «إكس»
من جانبها، لم تتأخر إلهان عمر في الرد، إذ نشرت تدوينة عبر منصة «إكس»، وصفت فيها تصريحات ترمب بأنها «هذيان جامح»، معتبرة أن صدورها عن شخصية مثيرة للجدل قانونياً يقلل من قيمتها، وفق تعبيرها.
وأضافت أن ما يثير التساؤل هو «كيف يمكن لشخص أن يضع نفسه في هذا الموقف طوعاً»، في رد يعكس حدة الانقسام السياسي داخل الساحة الأمريكية.
سجال يعمّق الانقسام
ويأتي هذا التراشق في وقت تشهد فيه الولايات المتحدة حالة استقطاب سياسي متزايدة، إذ تعكس مثل هذه المواجهات الخطابية تصاعد حدة السجالات بين الجمهوريين والديمقراطيين، خصوصاً مع اقتراب الاستحقاقات الانتخابية، ما ينذر بمزيد من التصعيد في الخطاب السياسي خلال الفترة القادمة.

He also directed scathing criticisms at Somalia in the context of his attack on Omar, saying: “Somalia is a beautiful place, it has no government, no army, and nothing at all. It has one really strong thing, crime; there are a lot of crimes, they don’t have police, all they do is shoot each other, filthy in a disgusting way and a terrible place. They come here, and Ilhan Omar, have you heard of her before? She comes here from Somalia and tells us how to run the United States of America, and she says the Constitution gives me certain rights, and I demand that these rights be given to me, go away, you fake…”.
Sharp Statements Beyond Politics
Trump’s statements transcended the political framework into a direct personal attack, as he used harsh language and sharp criticisms, which sparked a wave of reactions and criticisms, especially given the sensitivity of the discourse related to immigration and racial backgrounds in the United States.
Fiery Response via “X”
For her part, Ilhan Omar did not delay in responding, as she posted a tweet on the “X” platform, describing Trump’s statements as “wild delirium,” considering that coming from a legally controversial figure diminishes their value, in her words.
She added that what raises questions is “how can a person voluntarily put themselves in this position,” in a response that reflects the intensity of political division within the American arena.
A Dispute Deepening Division
This exchange comes at a time when the United States is witnessing increasing political polarization, as such rhetorical confrontations reflect the rising intensity of disputes between Republicans and Democrats, especially with the upcoming electoral deadlines, which portends further escalation in political discourse in the coming period.
