علمت مصادر «عكاظ» أن الحكم الصيني «مانينغ» غادر مدينة جدة بعد أن تم استبعاده من قبل الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، بعد الأخطاء التي ارتكبها خلال مباراة الاتحاد السعودي ونظيره ماتشيدا زيلفيا الياباني في مباراة دور الثمانية، التي انتهت بتأهل «ماتشيدا» إلى نصف نهائي دوري أبطال آسيا، بعد فوزه بهدف دون ردّ، وذلك في المباراة التي جمعتهما على ملعب مدينة الأمير عبدالله الفيصل الرياضية بجدة.

يذكر أن ‏الحكم الصيني «مانينغ» كان من ضمن المرشحين لقيادة نهائي البطولة الحالية، قبل أن تقرر لجنة التحكيم استبعاده من البطولة نهائياً.

Sources from “Okaz” reported that the Chinese referee “Manning” left the city of Jeddah after being excluded by the Asian Football Confederation due to the mistakes he made during the match between Saudi Arabia’s Ittihad and Japan’s Matsumoto Yamaga in the quarter-finals, which ended with “Matsumoto” qualifying for the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League after winning by a goal to nil. It is worth mentioning that referee “Manning” was among the candidates to officiate the final of the current tournament before the refereeing committee decided to exclude him from the tournament entirely.
