توفيت سلوى القدسي، خطيبة الموسيقار الراحل فريد الأطرش، عن عمر ناهز 87 عاماً، في منزلها بالعاصمة اللبنانية بيروت، إثر وعكة صحية ألمت بها.

Salwa Al-Qudsi, the fiancée of the late musician Farid Al-Atrash, passed away at the age of 87 in her home in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, following a health setback.

Al-Qudsi was the sister of Nahla Al-Qudsi, the wife of musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab, linking her name and family and artistic ties to stories from the rich history of Arabic music.

In celebration of Farid Al-Atrash’s legacy, the Egyptian Opera House recently held an artistic evening at the Republic Theater, during which a selection of his most famous works was presented, featuring singers from the Arabic Music Heritage Troupe, ensuring that his name remains alive in the hearts of the audience despite his passing.
