وعلى الفور تدخلت قوة حفظ النظام، بعد ورود معلومات عن وجود أشخاص يحملون أدوات شبيهة بالعصي، إلا أن الاشتباكات كانت قد هدأت عند وصولهم، فقاموا بتوثيق إفادات الشهود حول الواقعة.

وأمام هذا المشهد غير المنضبط، اتخذ حكم اللقاء قراراً غير مسبوق، إذ أشهر البطاقة الحمراء في وجه 24 لاعباً من أصل 27 كانوا ضمن المباراة أو في محيطها، بواقع 13 لاعباً من جيلير و11 من مورون، في خطوة هدفت إلى فرض السيطرة وإنهاء الفوضى.

وأثارت الحادثة موجة غضب واسعة في الأوساط الرياضية الفرنسية، إذ دانت النقابة الوطنية لحكام كرة القدم هذه التصرفات، مؤكدة دعمها الكامل للحكم، ومشددة على ضرورة اتخاذ إجراءات صارمة لردع مثل هذه السلوكيات.

The events erupted suddenly, despite starting in a normal competitive atmosphere, after tensions quickly escalated due to verbal altercations between the fans of both teams behind the fence, before the spark of disagreement moved onto the pitch. According to what was reported by the newspaper “Ouest-France,” the two sides clashed physically, before players intervened, leading to a collective brawl where punches, kicks, and insults were exchanged amid a state of complete chaos, resulting in injuries to at least two people.

Immediately, law enforcement intervened after receiving information about individuals carrying objects resembling sticks; however, the clashes had calmed by the time they arrived, and they documented witness statements regarding the incident.

In light of this uncontrolled scene, the match referee made an unprecedented decision, issuing red cards to 24 players out of 27 who were part of or near the match, with 13 players from Gillières and 11 from Moron, in a move aimed at imposing control and ending the chaos.

The incident sparked widespread outrage in French sports circles, as the National Union of Football Referees condemned these actions, affirming its full support for the referee and emphasizing the need for strict measures to deter such behaviors.
