اعتمد الاتحاد الخليجي لكرة القدم إقامة الأدوار النهائية من دوري أبطال الخليج للأندية لموسم 2025–2026 في مدينة الدوحة، وذلك بعد دراسة ملفات الترشح المقدمة من عدد من الأندية.

وشهدت المنافسة على الاستضافة تقدم أندية زاخو العراقي، والريان القطري، والشباب السعودي، قبل أن يتم إسناد المهمة لنادي الريان، نظير تكامل ملفه مقارنة ببقية الأندية، إضافة إلى تفوقه الفني بتصدر مجموعته وحصوله على أعلى عدد من النقاط.

كما تقرر إقامة مباريات البطولة على ملعبي أحمد بن علي وخليفة الدولي، على أن تُحدد مواعيدها بالتنسيق مع لجنة المسابقات وإدارة التسويق. ومن المقرر أن تُقام مواجهتا نصف النهائي يوم 19 أبريل 2026، حيث يلتقي زاخو مع الشباب، فيما يواجه الريان نظيره القادسية، على أن تُقام المباراة النهائية يوم 23 أبريل على استاد أحمد بن علي.

وكانت لجنة المسابقات قد اعتمدت إقامة الأدوار النهائية بنظام التجمع، من خلال مباراة واحدة في نصف النهائي وأخرى في النهائي، في خطوة تهدف إلى رفع المستوى التنظيمي والفني للبطولة.

وأكد الاتحاد الخليجي لكرة القدم حرصه على تقديم نسخة مميزة تعكس تطور البطولة وقيمتها التنافسية، بما يلبي تطلعات الجماهير الخليجية، ويعزز من مكانة دوري أبطال الخليج بين البطولات الإقليمية.

The Gulf Football Federation has approved the hosting of the final rounds of the Gulf Clubs Champions League for the 2025–2026 season in the city of Doha, after reviewing the nomination files submitted by several clubs.

The competition for hosting saw the advancement of clubs such as Zakho from Iraq, Al Rayyan from Qatar, and Al Shabab from Saudi Arabia, before the task was assigned to Al Rayyan, due to the completeness of its file compared to the other clubs, in addition to its technical superiority by topping its group and achieving the highest number of points.

It was also decided that the matches of the tournament will be held at the Ahmed bin Ali and Khalifa International stadiums, with the dates to be determined in coordination with the Competitions Committee and the Marketing Department. The semi-final matches are scheduled to take place on April 19, 2026, where Zakho will meet Al Shabab, while Al Rayyan will face Al Qadsia, with the final match set for April 23 at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.

The Competitions Committee had approved holding the final rounds in a gathering format, with one match in the semi-finals and another in the final, in a step aimed at raising the organizational and technical level of the tournament.

The Gulf Football Federation confirmed its commitment to providing a distinguished edition that reflects the development of the tournament and its competitive value, meeting the aspirations of Gulf fans and enhancing the status of the Gulf Champions League among regional tournaments.
