أثار تجاهل الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع لمراسل إسرائيلي وهو يحاول توجيه سؤال له خلال مؤتمر صحفي في برلين مع المستشار الألماني فريدريش ميرتس، الاثنين، موجة من التعليقات والتساؤلات، إذ قال الصحفي: «سيادة الرئيس، أنا من التلفزيون الإسرائيلي، هل يمكنني طرح سؤال واحد فقط يتعلق بإسرائيل؟». لكن الشرع لم يلتفت إليه وغادر القاعة دون الرد عليه، ما دفع الصحافة الإسرائيلية لاحقاً إلى مهاجمة الرئيس السوري.

وأشعل هذا المشهد منصات التواصل الاجتماعي في العالم العربي بموجة من التعليقات والتأويلات، إذ اعتبر كثيرون أن تجاهل الشرع يمثل موقفاً سياسياً ورسالة مقصودة أكثر منه مجرد رد فعل عابر في مؤتمر صحفي.

فيما رأى مدونون أن تركيز الإعلام العبري على سورية في هذه المرحلة يبدو «أكبر من أي وقت مضى» و«غير مسبوق»، إلى درجة إرسال مراسل قناة إسرائيلية رسمية «كان» لملاحقة تحركات الرئيس الشرع في ألمانيا. وأكدوا أن هذا التوجه يتم «من أجل افتعال شيء من لا شيء»، على حد وصف بعض التعليقات، معتبرين أن الهدف الحقيقي من هذا التركيز الإعلامي «سيتضح مع الوقت».

وذهبت تعليقات أخرى إلى أن هذا الاهتمام يعد جزءاً من محاولة إسرائيلية لإعادة إدخال الملف السوري إلى واجهة النقاش الإقليمي تحت عناوين السلام أو التصعيد.

ووصف آخرون تصرف الرئيس الشرع بأنه «موقف مشرف» يحسب له، رغم أنه كان في زيارة رسمية إلى ألمانيا، وأكدوا أن ما فعله الرئيس السوري يمكن اعتباره مؤشراً على إدارة محسوبة للرسائل السياسية، حسب قولهم.

وكتب أحد المدونين قائلاً: «الشرع يعرف متى يتكلم ومتى يختار الصمت ويحدد أولوياته دون أن يستدرج لأسئلة تمنح شرعية لمن لا يعترف به أصلاً»، في إشارة إلى أن قبول توجيه أسئلة من تلفزيون إسرائيلي قد يفسر كمنح اعتراف أو تطبيع مجاني في لحظة حساسة.

وهناك من رأوا في المشهد مواجهة صامتة مع الإعلام الإسرائيلي، وثمة من قرأوه كتعبير عن ثبات في الموقف من مسألة التطبيع والسلام، إلا أن البعض نظر إلى هذا «المشهد القصير» في قاعة مؤتمر برلين أكبر من مجرد لقطة عابرة، ويعكس حسابات معقدة في علاقة سورية بإسرائيل.

وكان المراسل الإسرائيلي غيل هار نشر مقطع فيديو يوثّق دخول الرئيس الشرع إلى القاعة، وأرفقه بتعليق عبر حسابه على منصة إكس قال فيه: «حسناً، لنرَ إن كانت كلمة سلام قد دخلت قاموس اللغة السورية. هذه بداية المؤتمر الصحفي مع المستشار الألماني ورئيس سورية الشرع، الذي يزور برلين».

The journalist said, “Mr. President, I am from Israeli television, may I ask just one question related to Israel?” However, al-Shara did not pay attention to him and left the room without responding, prompting the Israeli press to later criticize the Syrian president.

This scene ignited social media platforms in the Arab world with a wave of comments and interpretations, as many considered that al-Shara’s disregard represents a political stance and a deliberate message rather than just a fleeting reaction in a press conference.

Meanwhile, bloggers noted that the Hebrew media’s focus on Syria at this stage seems “greater than ever” and “unprecedented,” to the extent that a reporter from the official Israeli channel “Kan” was sent to track al-Shara’s movements in Germany. They affirmed that this trend is being done “to fabricate something out of nothing,” as described by some comments, believing that the true goal of this media focus “will become clear over time.”

Other comments suggested that this interest is part of an Israeli attempt to reintroduce the Syrian file into the regional discussion under the titles of peace or escalation.

Others described al-Shara’s behavior as “a dignified stance” that counts in his favor, even though he was on an official visit to Germany, asserting that what the Syrian president did can be seen as an indicator of a calculated management of political messages, according to them.

One blogger wrote: “Al-Shara knows when to speak and when to choose silence and sets his priorities without being lured into questions that grant legitimacy to those who do not recognize him at all,” referring to the idea that accepting questions from Israeli television could be interpreted as granting recognition or free normalization at a sensitive moment.

Some viewed the scene as a silent confrontation with the Israeli media, while others interpreted it as an expression of steadfastness regarding the issue of normalization and peace. However, some saw this “short scene” in the Berlin conference hall as more than just a fleeting moment, reflecting complex calculations in Syria’s relationship with Israel.

Israeli reporter Gil Har posted a video documenting President al-Shara’s entrance into the hall, accompanied by a comment on his account on the X platform, stating: “Well, let’s see if the word peace has entered the Syrian language. This is the beginning of the press conference with the German chancellor and Syria’s president al-Shara, who is visiting Berlin.”
