أعلن الاتحاد الدولي للجمباز، إلغاء بطولة العالم للجمباز الفني، التي كان من المقرر إقامتها في دولة قطر خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 18 أبريل القادم، وذلك على ضوء التحديات اللوجستية المرتبطة بتعثر وصول الأجهزة والمعدات الخاصة بالبطولة.

وأكد رئيس الاتحاد القطري للجمباز النائب الأول لرئيس الاتحاد الدولي علي الهتمي، في تصريح خاص لوكالة الأنباء القطرية، أن الاتحاد القطري كان قد تقدم بطلب رسمي لتأجيل البطولة، حرصاً على إقامتها بأفضل صورة تنظيمية ممكنة، وبما يتماشى مع المعايير الدولية المعتمدة.

وأوضح أن اللجان المختصة داخل الاتحاد الدولي، وعلى رأسها لجنة المسابقات واللجان الفنية، عقدت اجتماعات مكثفة لدراسة الموقف، إذ تبين أن تأجيل البطولة قد تترتب عليه تأثيرات سلبية على رزنامة البطولات الدولية المعتمدة، بما في ذلك البطولات القارية في أفريقيا وأوروبا وآسيا، إضافة إلى تأثيره على بطولة العالم للجمباز الفني المقررة في هولندا خلال العام الحالي.

وأضاف أن قرار الإلغاء جاء في إطار الحرص على انتظام روزنامة الاتحاد الدولي، وضمان تكافؤ الفرص بين جميع الاتحادات الوطنية المشاركة، معرباً عن تقديره لتفهم كافة الأطراف للظروف الراهنة.

واختتم الهتمي تصريحه بالتأكيد على التزام الاتحاد القطري للجمباز بمواصلة استضافة وتنظيم كبرى البطولات الدولية وفق أعلى المعايير التنظيمية، وبما يعكس المكانة الرياضية المميزة لدولة قطر على الساحة العالمية.

The International Gymnastics Federation announced the cancellation of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championship, which was scheduled to take place in Qatar from April 15 to 18, due to logistical challenges related to the delayed arrival of the equipment and apparatus for the championship.

The President of the Qatari Gymnastics Federation and First Vice President of the International Federation, Ali Al-Hitmi, stated in a special statement to the Qatari News Agency that the Qatari Federation had submitted an official request to postpone the championship, in order to ensure it is held in the best possible organizational manner and in accordance with the approved international standards.

He explained that the relevant committees within the International Federation, led by the Competitions Committee and the Technical Committees, held intensive meetings to assess the situation, and it became clear that postponing the championship could have negative impacts on the schedule of approved international competitions, including continental championships in Africa, Europe, and Asia, in addition to its impact on the Artistic Gymnastics World Championship scheduled to be held in the Netherlands later this year.

He added that the decision to cancel was made in order to maintain the regularity of the International Federation’s schedule and to ensure equal opportunities among all participating national federations, expressing his appreciation for the understanding of all parties regarding the current circumstances.

Al-Hitmi concluded his statement by reaffirming the Qatari Gymnastics Federation’s commitment to continue hosting and organizing major international championships according to the highest organizational standards, reflecting Qatar’s distinguished sports status on the global stage.
