أخبار لايت: سعيد السريحي.. مثقف عضوي افتقدته الإنسانية – أخبار السعودية

لم يكن الراحل الدكتور سعيد مصلح السريحي مجرد مثقف شكلي يتزين ظاهرياً بالثقافة، دون إيمان عميق بدورها في تأصيل الهوية، وتعزيز الانتماء، وانفتاح الوعي، وارتقاء الذائقة؛ لذا قضى نصف قرنٍ وهو ينحت بالكلمة في صخر التحديات، ويتبسّم للعوائق والمنغصات التي يراها ضرورية لشحذ الهمم ولتخليد المنجز.

عاش أبو إقبال حياة حافلة بالمعرفة، والعطاء، على مستوى التعليم العام والأكاديمي، ووسّع آفاق الصحافة الثقافية، وقارع بصدر مكشوف الظلاميين، وأصّل منطلقات ومعايير لمصطلحات منها التنمية الثقافية، والمأسسة الأدبية، وحظي بالتقدير على مستويات عدة، منها رسمي وشعبي، وإقليمي ودولي ومحلي، وفكري وأدبي وفنّي، فكتب القصيدة الشعبية، والكسرة، والزجل، والفصيح، والتفعيلة، والرواية، وقرأ اللوحات التشكيلية الأحدث في انتمائها للمذاهب الفنية العالمية، ورأس أخيراً مجلس إدارة جمعية الأدب المهنيّة، وكان يحدوه حماس كبير بأن يحقق الكثير من التطلعات والطموحات، إلا أن للأقدار كلمتها التي لم تكن في الحسبان، رحل أبو إقبال في شعبان الماضي، فاكتشفت أسرته أن له أسرة كبيرة بامتداد قارات العالم، وأنه فقيد الإنسانية لا وطنه وأهله.

The late Dr. Said Muslih Al-Surayhi was not just a superficial intellectual adorned with culture without a deep belief in its role in rooting identity, enhancing belonging, expanding awareness, and elevating taste. Therefore, he spent half a century chiseling words into the rock of challenges, smiling at the obstacles and annoyances he saw as necessary to sharpen determination and immortalize achievements.

Abu Iqbal lived a life rich in knowledge and giving, both in public and academic education. He expanded the horizons of cultural journalism, boldly confronting the dark forces. He established foundations and criteria for terms such as cultural development and literary institutionalization. He was appreciated on various levels, including official, popular, regional, international, local, intellectual, literary, and artistic. He wrote folk poetry, kasida, zajal, classical Arabic poetry, free verse, and novels. He also engaged with the latest visual art pieces in relation to global artistic movements. Recently, he chaired the board of directors of the Professional Literature Association, driven by a great enthusiasm to achieve many aspirations and ambitions. However, fate had its own unexpected plans; Abu Iqbal passed away last Sha’ban, and his family discovered that he had a large family spanning the continents of the world, and that he was a loss to humanity, not just to his homeland and people.
