أكد المبعوث الخاص للرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، ستيف ويتكوف، مساء الثلاثاء، أن قنبلة واحدة يمكن أن تمحو إسرائيل من الوجود.
وقال ويتكوف في مقابلة مع قناة CNBC إن إسرائيل دولة صغيرة جغرافياً، مشيراً إلى أن «قنبلة واحدة قد تكون كافية لإخراجها من الوجود». وأضاف أن هذا الواقع يجعل أي تهديد إستراتيجي موجهاً إليها مسألة تتعلق بالبقاء، وليس مجرد تحدٍ عسكري تقليدي.
الدرع الصاروخية وفوضى المنطقة
وأوضح المبعوث الأمريكي أن التطورات العسكرية في المنطقة، بما فيها أنظمة الدفاع والهجوم الصاروخي، تعكس طبيعة الصراع المتصاعد.
وأشار إلى أن إيران تسعى لحماية برنامجها النووي من خلال خلق حالة من الفوضى والاضطراب في الشرق الأوسط، معتبراً أن التحركات الإيرانية في المنطقة ترتبط بمحاولة تأمين برنامجها النووي وردع خصومها.
مصير الحرب.. غموض في الأفق
وعند سؤاله عن الكيفية التي قد تنتهي بها الحرب الجارية، أقر ويتكوف بعدم امتلاكه إجابة واضحة، قائلاً: «لا أعرف كيف ستنتهي هذه الحرب».
لكنه شدد في الوقت ذاته على أن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب ليس شخصية يمكن تحديها بسهولة، في إشارة إلى أن واشنطن قد تتخذ مواقف حازمة إذا اقتضت التطورات ذلك.
اليورانيوم المخصب يثير القلق
وفي ما يتعلق بالبرنامج النووي الإيراني، كشف ويتكوف أن طهران تمتلك نحو 460 كيلوغراماً من اليورانيوم المخصب بنسبة 60%.
وأكد أن هذه النسبة المرتفعة من التخصيب لا يوجد لها أي مبرر مدني واضح، مشيراً إلى أن الوصول إلى هذا المستوى يثير شكوكاً قوية حول احتمال سعي إيران لامتلاك سلاح نووي.

Witkoff stated in an interview with CNBC that Israel is a small country geographically, noting that “one bomb could be enough to take it out of existence.” He added that this reality makes any strategic threat directed at it a matter of survival, not just a conventional military challenge.

The American envoy explained that military developments in the region, including missile defense and attack systems, reflect the nature of the escalating conflict.
He pointed out that Iran seeks to protect its nuclear program by creating a state of chaos and disorder in the Middle East, considering that Iranian movements in the region are linked to attempts to secure its nuclear program and deter its adversaries.
The Fate of War… Uncertainty on the Horizon
When asked how the ongoing war might end, Witkoff admitted that he did not have a clear answer, saying, “I don’t know how this war will end.”
However, he emphasized at the same time that U.S. President Donald Trump is not a figure that can be easily challenged, indicating that Washington may take firm positions if developments warrant it.
Enriched Uranium Raises Concerns
Regarding the Iranian nuclear program, Witkoff revealed that Tehran possesses about 460 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%.
He confirmed that this high level of enrichment has no clear civilian justification, noting that reaching this level raises strong suspicions about Iran’s potential pursuit of a nuclear weapon.
