كشف النجم البرازيلي مارسليو كاماتشو عن تأثره بالأجواء الرمضانية والعادات والتقاليد السعودية خلال فترة لعبه في الدوري السعودي.

وخاض لاعب الوسط المهاجم المُعتزل تجارب عدة في الدوري السعودي، إذ ارتدى قمصان الهلال والشباب والأهلي، وهو واحد من أبرز المحترفين الأجانب الذين مروا على المسابقة.

عمق روحي وثقافي

وفي تصريحات خاصة لـ«عكاظ»، قال كاماتشو: «كانت تجربتي خلال شهر رمضان في السعودية ثرية للغاية، على الصعيدين المهني والشخصي، إذ أتاحت لي هذه الفترة فهم العمق الروحي والثقافي الذي يمثله هذا الشهر للشعب السعودي، ففيه يتغير الروتين، وتبرز قيم الانضباط والتضامن والإيمان بشكل أوضح، ما يؤثر بشكل مباشر على البيئة المحيطة، لقد كانت تجربة رائعة، وسّعت آفاقي حول الثقافة المحلية وعززت احترامي لتقاليد وعادات البلاد».

روتين محترف مع احترام العادات

وأضاف: «في شهر رمضان كنت أحافظ على روتيني المهني المعتاد، مع احترام العادات المحلية وتكييف جدولي مع متطلبات شهر رمضان، كما اغتنمت الفرصة للتعرف على الثقافة المحلية عن قرب، لا سيما في الليل، حيث تُقام وجبات الطعام والاجتماعات بعد غروب الشمس، وكانت تجربة ثرية للغاية».

تجربة الصوم.. والحلوى المفضلة

وأوضح كاماتشو أيضاً أنه كان يصوم أحياناً خلال الشهر الفضيل، قائلاً: «خلال السنوات الثماني التي لعبت فيها في السعودية، كنت أصوم دائماً في رمضان يوماً أو يومين، وذلك في الأيام التي لا أتدرب فيها، بينما كانت الكنافة هي الحلوى المفضلة لي خلال هذا الشهر».

In exclusive statements to “Okaz,” Camacho said: “My experience during the month of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia was extremely rich, both professionally and personally, as this period allowed me to understand the spiritual and cultural depth that this month represents for the Saudi people. During this time, routines change, and the values of discipline, solidarity, and faith become more evident, which directly affects the surrounding environment. It was a wonderful experience that broadened my horizons about the local culture and enhanced my respect for the traditions and customs of the country.”

Professional Routine with Respect for Customs

He added: “During Ramadan, I maintained my usual professional routine while respecting local customs and adapting my schedule to the requirements of the month. I also seized the opportunity to get to know the local culture closely, especially at night when meals and gatherings take place after sunset, and it was an extremely enriching experience.”

The Experience of Fasting… and the Favorite Dessert

Camacho also explained that he sometimes fasted during the holy month, saying: “During the eight years I played in Saudi Arabia, I would always fast for a day or two during Ramadan, on the days I didn’t train, while kunafa was my favorite dessert during this month.”
