مصر: ترقّب لإعلان حزمة الحماية الاجتماعية اليوم – أخبار السعودية
وسط ترقّب شرائح عدة من المجتمع المصري لحزمة الحماية الاجتماعية الجديدة، التي وجه الرئيس المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي بإطلاقها، أمس؛ لدعم الفئات الأولى بالرعاية قبل حلول شهر رمضان المبارك، إضافة إلى صرف مرتبات شهر فبراير الجاري للعاملين بالدولة خلال هذا الأسبوع، وقبل حلول الشهر الفضيل، في إطار التخفيف عن كاهل المواطنين، كشف المتحدث باسم مجلس الوزراء المصري محمد الحمصاني، أن تفاصيل الحزمة سيتم إعلانها اليوم خلال مؤتمر صحفي لرئيس الوزراء.
الفئات الأكثر حاجةً
وقال الحمصاني إن الحزمة تستهدف دعم الفئات الأكثر حاجةً، وعلى رأسها مستفيدو برنامج «تكافل وكرامة» ومظلات الحماية الاجتماعية؛ بهدف التخفيف من الأعباء المعيشية خصوصاً مع اقتراب شهر رمضان.
وأضاف: الإجراءات الجديدة تتماشى مع رؤية الدولة الشاملة للإصلاح الاقتصادي والتنمية، مستهدفة رفع معدلات النمو والتشغيل وتحسين مستوى معيشة المواطنين، مع الحرص على الحد من تأثيرات الإصلاح الاقتصادي وارتفاع الأسعار.
وأشار إلى تكثيف الدولة جهودها لضبط الأسواق ومنع أي زيادات غير مبررة، مؤكداً أن الحزمة ستُطبق في إطار الحفاظ على استقرار الأسعار مع دعم المواطنين.
مراجعات صندوق النقد
ويأتي إطلاق الحزمة في ظل ترقب إتمام المراجعات الخاصة ببرنامج التمويل الموقع بين القاهرة وصندوق النقد الدولي، وأدرج الصندوق، المراجعتين الخامسة والسادسة لبرنامج التسهيل الائتماني الممدد لمصر، والمراجعة الأولى لبرنامج المرونة والاستدامة على جدول اجتماعات مجلس المديرين التنفيذيين لديه يوم 25 فبراير الجاري، وفي حال إقرار المراجعتين ستحصل مصر على تمويلات بقيمة 2.7 مليار دولار.
وفي ديسمبر الماضي، أعلن الصندوق توصل بعثته لاتفاق على مستوى الخبراء مع مصر بخصوص المراجعتين الخامسة والسادسة من برنامج «التمويل الممتد» بقيمة 8 مليارات دولار، إلى جانب المراجعة الأولى لتمويل «المرونة والاستدامة» بنحو 1.3 مليار دولار.
ورفع صندوق النقد الدولي، الشهر الماضي، توقعاته لنمو الاقتصاد المصري خلال العام المالي الحالي للمرة الثانية خلال 3 أشهر إلى 4.7%، متوقعاً تسارع وتيرة النمو إلى 5.4% بحلول عام 2027، بدعم من استمرار برامج الإصلاح الاقتصادي وتعزيز الاستقرار الكلي.
Amid the anticipation of various segments of Egyptian society for the new social protection package, which Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed to be launched yesterday; to support the most vulnerable groups before the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to disbursing the salaries for February for state employees during this week, and before the arrival of the holy month, as part of the effort to ease the burden on citizens, the spokesperson for the Egyptian Cabinet, Mohamed El-Homsani, revealed that the details of the package will be announced today during a press conference by the Prime Minister.
The Most Needy Groups
El-Homsani stated that the package aims to support the most needy groups, primarily beneficiaries of the “Takaful and Karama” program and social protection umbrellas; with the goal of alleviating living burdens, especially with the approach of Ramadan.
He added: The new measures align with the state’s comprehensive vision for economic reform and development, aiming to raise growth and employment rates and improve the living standards of citizens, while being keen to mitigate the impacts of economic reform and rising prices.
He pointed out that the state is intensifying its efforts to regulate markets and prevent any unjustified price increases, affirming that the package will be implemented within the framework of maintaining price stability while supporting citizens.
IMF Reviews
The launch of the package comes amid anticipation of completing the reviews related to the financing program signed between Cairo and the International Monetary Fund. The Fund has included the fifth and sixth reviews of the extended credit facility program for Egypt, as well as the first review of the resilience and sustainability program on the agenda of its Executive Board meetings on February 25. If the reviews are approved, Egypt will receive funding worth $2.7 billion.
Last December, the Fund announced that its mission reached a staff-level agreement with Egypt regarding the fifth and sixth reviews of the “Extended Fund Facility” program worth $8 billion, in addition to the first review of the “Resilience and Sustainability” financing of approximately $1.3 billion.
Last month, the International Monetary Fund raised its growth forecast for the Egyptian economy during the current fiscal year for the second time in three months to 4.7%, expecting the growth rate to accelerate to 5.4% by 2027, supported by the continuation of economic reform programs and the enhancement of overall stability.
