أعلنت الرئيسة الفنزويلية بالإنابة دلسي رودريغيز، اليوم (الخميس)، تلقيها دعوة أمريكية لزيارة واشنطن.

وأوضحت رودريغز أن نيكولاس مادورو لا يزال الرئيس الشرعي للبلاد وزوجته، موضحة أن مادورو والسيدة الأولى سيليا فلوريس بريئان.

وقالت الرئيسة الفنزويلية بالإنابة في مقابلة مع شبكة «أن بي سي»: «لقد تمت دعوتي إلى الولايات المتحدة، وندرس القدوم بمجرد أن نضع أسس هذا التعاون ونمضي قدماً بكل شيء».

وزار وزير الطاقة الأمريكي كريس رايت، أمس، كاراكاس، وأثنى على التعاون بين بلاده ورودريغز. وقال رايت: «لقد تعاملنا مع دلسي لمدة 5 أسابيع، وكان تعاوناً مذهلاً».

من جهة أخرى، ذكر متحدث عسكري أمريكي أن شخصين أصيبا بجروح طفيفة، أمس، إثر اصطدام سفينة حربية أمريكية وسفينة إمداد تابعة للبحرية الأمريكية، كانتا ضمن عملية التزود بالوقود في منطقة البحر الكاريبي.

وأفاد المتحدث باسم القيادة الجنوبية الأمريكية العقيد إيمانويل أورتيز أن المدمرة الأمريكية «يو إس إس تروكستون» من فئة أرلي بيرك وسفينة الدعم القتالي السريع «يو إس إن إس سابلاي» من فئة «سبلاي» اصطدمتا أثناء عملية التزود بالوقود في عرض البحر، بحسب ما نقلته عنه صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال».

The acting Venezuelan president, Delcy Rodríguez, announced today (Thursday) that she received an American invitation to visit Washington.

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright visited Caracas yesterday and praised the cooperation between his country and Rodríguez. Wright said, “We have been working with Delcy for 5 weeks, and it has been amazing cooperation.”

On another note, a U.S. military spokesman reported that two people were slightly injured yesterday after a U.S. warship collided with a supply ship from the U.S. Navy, which were part of a refueling operation in the Caribbean Sea.

Colonel Emmanuel Ortiz, a spokesman for U.S. Southern Command, stated that the U.S. destroyer USS Truxtun, an Arleigh Burke-class ship, and the fast combat support ship USNS Supply, a Supply-class ship, collided during a refueling operation at sea, according to what was reported by the Wall Street Journal.
