احتواء هجوم إلكتروني استهدف شركات اتصالات بسنغافورة – أخبار السعودية
كشفت السلطات في سنغافورة، اليوم، أن شركات الاتصالات الأربع الرئيسية في البلاد تعرضت لهجوم إلكتروني متطور نفذته مجموعة تعرف باسم UNC3886، مؤكدة أنه لم يتم تسجيل أي سرقة لبيانات العملاء، وأن الهجوم جرى احتواؤه بالكامل.
وقالت جوزفين تيو وزيرة التنمية الرقمية والمعلومات، في تصريح نشرته وكالة الأنباء السنغافورية، إن المهاجمين تمكنوا في إحدى الحالات من الوصول إلى عدد محدود من الأنظمة الحيوية، دون أن يؤدي ذلك إلى تعطيل الخدمات أو الوصول إلى بيانات حساسة تخص العملاء في الشركات.
وأضافت أن التحقيقات الجارية لم تظهر حتى الآن أي دليل على اختراق أو تسريب بيانات شخصية، مشيرة إلى أن الاستجابة السريعة من قبل الجهات المختصة حدت من نشاط المهاجمين بشكل فعال.
ووفقا لشركة مانديانت المتخصصة في الأمن السيبراني، فإن مجموعة UNC3886 يشتبه بارتباطها بعمليات تجسس سيبراني تستهدف مؤسسات إستراتيجية حول العالم.
The authorities in Singapore revealed today that the four main telecommunications companies in the country were subjected to a sophisticated cyber attack carried out by a group known as UNC3886, confirming that no customer data theft was recorded and that the attack was fully contained.
Josephine Teo, the Minister for Digital Development and Information, stated in a statement published by the Singaporean news agency that the attackers were able, in one instance, to access a limited number of critical systems, but this did not disrupt services or access sensitive customer data at the companies.
She added that ongoing investigations have not yet shown any evidence of a breach or leak of personal data, noting that the swift response from the relevant authorities effectively curtailed the attackers’ activities.
According to Mandiant, a cybersecurity firm, the UNC3886 group is suspected of being linked to cyber espionage operations targeting strategic institutions around the world.
