صاحب «ثنائية الأهلي» على السرير الأبيض – أخبار السعودية
دخل رئيس النادي الأهلي السابق عبدالعزيز عبدالعال، مستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي إثر عارض صحي. ويعتبر عبدالعال من الرؤساء العاشقين للنادي الأهلي، وشهدت فترة رئاسته للنادي الأهلي (نهاية الستينيات) بدايات تأسيس الحقبة الذهبية للنادي، إذ توّج الفريق الأهلاوي ببطولات مهمة أبرزها كأس جلالة الملك عام 1969.
كما تواصلت نجاحات الفريق الكروي في تلك الفترة التأسيسية المهمة التي سبقت التتويج بلقب الدوري الممتاز وكأس الملك (الثنائية). ويتمتع بعلاقة جيدة مع العديد من رجالات الأندية السعودية، ويختلف تعامله مع الفرق المنافسة، وأنه ضد التعصب والتوتر ويشجع على اللعب النظيف.
يذكر أن عبدالعزيز عبدالعال بدأ لاعباً ثم مشرفاً على كرة السلة، ثم عضواً لمجلس الإدارة، ثم رئيساً للنادي الأهلي في عام 96- 1997، ويعشق لعبة كرة السلة التي مثَّل فيها النادي الأهلي وازداد عشقه لها خلال دراسته في أمريكا، حيث تعد لعبة كرة السلة الشعبية الأولى وكان لاعباً سلاوياً ناجحاً.
Former Al-Ahly Club president Abdulaziz Abdulal has entered King Faisal Specialist Hospital due to a health issue. Abdulal is considered one of the passionate presidents of Al-Ahly Club, and his presidency (in the late 1960s) witnessed the beginnings of the club’s golden era, as the Al-Ahly team was crowned with important championships, most notably the King’s Cup in 1969.
During that important foundational period, the football team continued to achieve success, leading up to winning the Premier League title and the King’s Cup (the double). He enjoys a good relationship with many figures from Saudi clubs, and his approach to dealing with competing teams is different; he is against fanaticism and tension and encourages fair play.
It is worth mentioning that Abdulaziz Abdulal started as a player, then became a basketball supervisor, then a member of the board of directors, and finally the president of Al-Ahly Club in the 1996-1997 season. He loves basketball, in which he represented Al-Ahly Club, and his passion for it increased during his studies in America, where basketball is the most popular sport, and he was a successful basketball player.
