أكد رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو اليوم (الإثنين) أن أي اتفاق مع إيران سيحافظ على مصالحهم الحيوية، معلناً تحدثه مع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب اليوم.

وقال نتنياهو: «تحدثت مع ترمب وتعهد بمواصلة ضرب إيران ولبنان»، مضيفاً: «ترمب يعتقد أن إنجازات الحرب يمكن استغلالها في صفقة مع إيران».

وأشار نتنياهو إلى أن «ترمب يعتبر أن أي اتفاق مع طهران سيحافظ على مصالحنا الحيوية».

جاء ذلك في الوقت الذي أعلن فيه الجيش الإسرائيلي ضرب موقع في طهران تابع للحرس الثوري الإيراني، كان يُستخدم لتوجيه وحدات من قوات التعبئة المرتبطة بالحرس الثوري (الباسيج).

من جهة أخرى، نقلت وكالة «رويترز» عن مصادر قولها إنه قبل أقل من 48 ساعة من بدء ⁠الضربة الأمريكية ‌الإسرائيلية على إيران، تحدث رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو هاتفياً مع ⁠الرئيس الأمريكي بشأن أسباب شن هذا ⁠النوع من الحرب المعقدة والبعيدة، التي كان دونالد ترمب قد عارضها في ​السابق.

وكان كل من ترمب ونتنياهو على علم، من خلال إحاطات استخباراتية في ⁠وقت سابق من ذلك الأسبوع، ​بأن ​المرشد الإيراني علي خامنئي ‌وكبار مساعديه سيجتمعون قريباً في مجمعه ​بطهران، ما جعلهم عرضة «لضربة ⁠استئصال»، وهو هجوم ​يستهدف كبار قادة الدولة، ⁠غالباً ‌ما تستخدمه إسرائيل، لكن الولايات المتحدة تستخدمه بشكل أقل.

لكن معلومات استخباراتية جديدة ‌أشارت إلى أن الاجتماع تم تقديمه إلى صباح السبت بدلاً من مساء السبت، ​وفقاً لـ3 أشخاص مطلعين على المكالمة، ولم يتم الكشف عن هذه المكالمة سابقاً.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed today (Monday) that any agreement with Iran will safeguard their vital interests, announcing that he spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump today.

Netanyahu said: “I spoke with Trump, and he pledged to continue striking Iran and Lebanon,” adding: “Trump believes that the achievements of the war can be leveraged in a deal with Iran.”

Netanyahu pointed out that “Trump considers that any agreement with Tehran will protect our vital interests.”

This came at a time when the Israeli army announced it had struck a site in Tehran belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, which was used to direct units of the mobilization forces linked to the Revolutionary Guard (Basij).

On another note, Reuters reported that sources said that less than 48 hours before the start of the U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone with the U.S. president about the reasons for launching this type of complex and distant war, which Donald Trump had previously opposed.

Both Trump and Netanyahu were aware, through intelligence briefings earlier that week, that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his senior aides would soon meet at his compound in Tehran, making them vulnerable to a “decapitation strike,” an attack targeting senior state leaders, often used by Israel, but less so by the United States.

However, new intelligence indicated that the meeting was moved to Saturday morning instead of Saturday evening, according to three people familiar with the call, and this call had not been disclosed previously.
