عقد مدرب منتخب إسبانيا دي لا فوينتي مؤتمراً أعلن من خلاله عن قائمة منتخب بلاده استعداداً لفترة التوقف الحالية، وتحدث بإسهاب عن حادثة إلغاء نهائي فيناليسيما ضد الأرجنتين، كما تحدث عن وضع بعض اللاعبين مع المنتخب الإسباني.

وبدأ دي لا فوينتي حديثه قائلاً: عندما أُلغيت المباراة بالدوحة قبلنا كل الخيارات في اللعب في 27 مارس حتى في عاصمتهم بوينس أيرس ولكن لا يمكن اللعب إذا كان الطرف الاخر لا يرغب بصدق باللعب، نحنُ نريد ونرغب باللعب 100%، وبغض النظر عما يقولونه في الأرجنتين فإن الاتحاد الإسباني بذل كل الأسباب المُتاحة لإقامة النهائي، كان استعدادنا الذهني و النفسي في هذا التوقف هو النهائي حتى القائمة اختلفت عندما أُلغي النهائي، كانت رغبتنا اللعب ضد بطل العالم الحالي و التنافس على اللقب و قياس مستوانا قبل بطولة المونديال.

وأضاف قائلاً: «أريد شكر الاتحاد الإسباني على الجهد الذي بذلوه لإقامة هذا النهائي فمن جهتنا قدمنا كل شيء حتى تتم المباراة ونرغب أن نلعبها، صحيح لقاء إسبانيا و الأرجنتين بين أفضل منتخبين حالياً لكن أريد لعب نهائي آخر وإضافة لقب جديد، وتركيزنا الآن هو التحضير لبطولة مونديال 2026».

وتحدث دي لا فوينتي عن اللاعبين بوبيل وتياغو حيث قال: «بالنسبة للاعب بوبيل هو لاعب ضمن القائمة ولكن للأسف الاصابة منعته من التواجد، هو لاعب مهم في خططنا القادمةـ أما تياغو فهو يريد اللعب مع إسبانيا وهو يتواجد الآن مع منتخب تحت 19 وسيتدرج لمنتخب تحت 20 ثم 21 وإذا حان وقته مع المنتخب الاول سيتواجد معنا».

وعن عدم استدعاء الثنائي موراتا و كارفخال قال: «إذا ارادا التواجد في المونديال عليهم بذل المزيد من الجهد و اللعب بشكل مُنتظم مع أنديتهم».

The coach of the Spanish national team, De la Fuente, held a press conference in which he announced the list of players for his country in preparation for the current break. Our focus now is on preparing for the 2026 World Cup.”

De la Fuente spoke about players Pobega and Thiago, saying: “As for player Pobega, he is on the list, but unfortunately, an injury prevented him from being present. He is an important player in our upcoming plans. As for Thiago, he wants to play with Spain, and he is currently with the under-19 team and will progress to the under-20 and then the under-21 teams. If his time comes with the first team, he will be with us.”

Regarding the absence of the duo Morata and Carvajal, he said: “If they want to be present in the World Cup, they need to put in more effort and play regularly with their clubs.”
