أعلنت وكالة الطاقة الدولية، التي وافقت هذا الشهر على إطلاق كمية قياسية من النفط من مخزوناتها الإستراتيجية لمواجهة آثار الحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية مع إيران، عن مقترحات لتخفيف ضغوط أسعار النفط على المستهلكين، مثل العمل من المنزل وتجنب السفر الجوي.
تخفيف العبء
وأوضحت وكالة الطاقة الدولية أن مقترحاتها عبارة عن إجراءات يمكن للحكومات والشركات والأسر اتخاذها لتخفيف العبء عن المستهلكين جراء الارتفاع الأخير في أسعار الطاقة.
وذكرت وكالة الطاقة الدولية أن هذه المقترحات تشمل العمل من المنزل، وخفض حدود السرعة على الطرق السريعة بما لا يقل عن 10 كيلومترات في الساعة، وتجنب السفر الجوي في حال توفر وسائل نقل أخرى.
صرف المخزونات
وقال المدير التنفيذي لوكالة الطاقة الدولية فاتح بيرول، في بيان: «أطلقنا أخيراً أكبر عملية صرف على الإطلاق لمخزونات النفط الطارئة لوكالة الطاقة الدولية، وأنا على اتصال وثيق مع حكومات رئيسية حول العالم، بما في ذلك كبار منتجي الطاقة ومستهلكيها، وذلك في إطار دبلوماسيتنا الدولية في مجال الطاقة».
وأضاف: «بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يقدم تقرير اليوم مجموعة من التدابير الفورية والملموسة التي يمكن اتخاذها من جانب الطلب من قبل الحكومات والشركات والأسر لحماية المستهلكين من آثار هذه الأزمة».
كمية قياسية
وكانت وكالة الطاقة الدولية قد وافقت في 11 مارس على إطلاق كمية قياسية تبلغ 400 مليون برميل من النفط من المخزونات الإستراتيجية لمواجهة الارتفاع الحاد في أسعار النفط الخام العالمية، حيث تسهم الولايات المتحدة بالجزء الأكبر من الإمدادات.
ويجري طرح 426 مليون برميل من النفط إجمالاً في السوق بموجب اتفاق سابق يتضمن 172 مليون برميل من أمريكا، وفق وكالة الطاقة.
The International Energy Agency, which this month approved the release of a record amount of oil from its strategic reserves to counter the effects of the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran, announced proposals to alleviate the pressure of oil prices on consumers, such as working from home and avoiding air travel.
Relieving the Burden
The International Energy Agency clarified that its proposals are measures that governments, companies, and households can take to relieve the burden on consumers due to the recent rise in energy prices.
The International Energy Agency mentioned that these proposals include working from home, reducing speed limits on highways by at least 10 kilometers per hour, and avoiding air travel when alternative transportation is available.
Releasing Stocks
The Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, stated in a statement: “We have finally launched the largest-ever release of emergency oil stocks by the International Energy Agency, and I am in close contact with key governments around the world, including major energy producers and consumers, as part of our international energy diplomacy.”
He added: “In addition, today’s report presents a range of immediate and tangible measures that can be taken on the demand side by governments, companies, and households to protect consumers from the effects of this crisis.”
Record Amount
The International Energy Agency had approved on March 11 the release of a record amount of 400 million barrels of oil from strategic reserves to address the sharp rise in global crude oil prices, with the United States contributing the largest share of supplies.
A total of 426 million barrels of oil are being released into the market under a previous agreement that includes 172 million barrels from America, according to the agency.
