أعلنت شركة الطيران المنخفض التكلفة ويز إير تمديد إلغاء جميع رحلاتها إلى إسرائيل حتى 7 أبريل، في قرار يعكس استمرار التوترات الأمنية الناجمة عن العمليات العسكرية الأمريكية-الإسرائيلية المشتركة ضد إيران، والتي أدت إلى ردود إيرانية صاروخية ومسيّرة على أهداف في المنطقة.

وأشارت الشركة في بيانها إلى أن الإلغاء يأتي «بسبب التصعيد الأمني المستمر في المنطقة»، مع الإشارة إلى أنها ستقوم بتعديلات هيكلية على جدول الرحلات بناءً على انخفاض الطلب والمخاطر الأمنية.

وكانت ويز إير قد أوقفت رحلاتها إلى إسرائيل وبعض الوجهات الأخرى مثل دبي وأبوظبي وعمان منذ بداية التصعيد في نهاية فبراير، ثم مددت الإيقاف عدة مرات، قبل أن تصل إلى هذا التاريخ الجديد.

ويأتي هذا التمديد كتطور يفاقم من تعقيدات حركة السفر الجوي في الشرق الأوسط، خصوصا مع اقتراب عطلة عيد الفصح التي تتزامن مع نهاية مارس وبداية أبريل، حيث يزداد الطلب على الرحلات الأوروبية-الإسرائيلية.

وقد أثر القرار على آلاف المسافرين الذين كانوا يخططون لزيارة إسرائيل أو العودة منها خلال الفترة القادمة، مما دفع الشركة إلى نصح عملائها بمتابعة التحديثات عبر موقعها الرسمي أو تطبيقها لإعادة الحجز أو استرداد الأموال.

وشركة ويز إير طيران هي شركة طيران منخفض التكلفة مجرية المقر، وتعد واحدة من أكبر شركات الطيران في أوروبا الشرقية والوسطى، وكانت تخطط لإنشاء مركز عمليات رئيسي في إسرائيل خلال ربيع 2026، يشمل حتى 30 رحلة يومية من تل أبيب إلى وجهات أوروبية متعددة، بهدف خفض أسعار التذاكر وزيادة المنافسة، إلا أن التصعيد العسكري أوقف هذه الخطط مؤقتًا.

بدورها، قالت الخطوط الجوية البريطانية، أمس (الاثنين)، إنها ستمدد تخفيضها المؤقت لجداول رحلاتها في أنحاء الشرق الأوسط، وسط الأزمة المستمرة في المنطقة وعدم استقرار المجال الجوي.

وفي الأسبوع الماضي، ألغت الشركة التابعة لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية الدولية (آي.إيه.جي) جميع رحلاتها من وإلى عمّان والبحرين والدوحة ودبي وتل أبيب حتى وقت لاحق من هذا الشهر، كما أوقفت رحلاتها من وإلى أبوظبي حتى وقت لاحق من هذا العام.

Wizz Air, the low-cost airline, announced the extension of the cancellation of all its flights to Israel until April 7, in a decision that reflects the ongoing security tensions resulting from the joint U.S.-Israeli military operations against Iran, which have led to Iranian missile and drone responses targeting locations in the region.

The company indicated in its statement that the cancellation comes “due to the ongoing security escalation in the region,” noting that it will make structural adjustments to its flight schedule based on decreased demand and security risks.

Wizz Air had suspended its flights to Israel and some other destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Amman since the escalation began at the end of February, then extended the suspension several times before reaching this new date.

This extension comes as a development that exacerbates the complexities of air travel in the Middle East, especially with the approaching Easter holiday coinciding with the end of March and the beginning of April, when demand for European-Israeli flights increases.

The decision has affected thousands of travelers who were planning to visit Israel or return from there in the coming period, prompting the company to advise its customers to follow updates through its official website or app for rebooking or refunds.

Wizz Air is a Hungarian low-cost airline and is considered one of the largest airlines in Eastern and Central Europe. It had planned to establish a main operations center in Israel by Spring 2026, including up to 30 daily flights from Tel Aviv to multiple European destinations, aiming to reduce ticket prices and increase competition; however, the military escalation has temporarily halted these plans.

For its part, British Airways announced yesterday (Monday) that it will extend its temporary reduction of flight schedules across the Middle East amid the ongoing crisis in the region and instability in the airspace.

Last week, the airline, part of the International Airlines Group (IAG), canceled all its flights to and from Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, and Tel Aviv until later this month, and also suspended its flights to and from Abu Dhabi until later this year.
