وزير طاقة أمريكا يعلن موعد انتهاء الحرب مع إيران – أخبار السعودية
أعلن وزير الطاقة الأمريكي كريس رايت أن الحرب مع إيران قد تنتهي خلال الأسابيع القليلة القادمة، وربما في وقت أقرب من ذلك، في وقت تتصاعد فيه المخاوف من ارتفاع أسعار الوقود.
وفي مقابلة مع شبكة ABC News، قال رايت: «أعتقد أن هذا الصراع سينتهي بالتأكيد خلال الأسابيع القادمة، وقد يحدث ذلك في وقت أقرب، لكن من المؤكد أن النزاع سيصل إلى نهايته خلال أسابيع».
ارتفاع البنزين
وأضاف وزير الطاقة: «إن الأمريكيين قد يشهدون تراجعاً في أسعار البنزين خلال الأسابيع القادمة». لكنه شدد على عدم وجود ضمانات في ظل ظروف الحرب. وأضاف: «لا توجد ضمانات في الحروب، وهذا ألم قصير الأمد للوصول إلى وضع أفضل بكثير».
وكان رايت قد أشار في وقت سابق إلى احتمال قيام البحرية الأمريكية بمرافقة ناقلات النفط لعبور المضيق، لكنه أكد أن البحرية الأمريكية ليست مستعدة بعد لتنفيذ هذه الخطوة.
وتأتي تصريحات رايت في وقت يواجه فيه الأمريكيون ارتفاعاً ملحوظاً في أسعار البنزين نتيجة الحرب.
عوامل ضغط
ويُعد تحكم إيران في مضيق هرمز أحد أبرز عوامل الضغط في سوق الطاقة، إذ يمثل الممر البحري نقطة عبور لنحو 20% من إمدادات النفط العالمية، ويربط بين الخليج العربي وخليج عُمان. وقد أدى إغلاق المضيق فعلياً إلى ارتفاع أسعار النفط الخام وزيادة أسعار الوقود في الولايات المتحدة.
وبحسب بيانات موقع GasBuddy، ارتفع متوسط سعر البنزين في الولايات المتحدة بنحو 76 سنتاً للغالون منذ اندلاع الحرب، وهو ارتفاع كبير خلال فترة قصيرة.
U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced that the war with Iran may end within the next few weeks, possibly even sooner, as concerns about rising fuel prices escalate.
In an interview with ABC News, Wright said, “I believe this conflict will definitely end in the coming weeks, and it may happen sooner, but it is certain that the dispute will reach its conclusion within weeks.”
Rising Gas Prices
The Energy Secretary added, “Americans may see a decline in gas prices in the coming weeks.” However, he emphasized that there are no guarantees in wartime conditions. He added, “There are no guarantees in wars, and this is a short-term pain to reach a much better situation.”
Wright had previously indicated the possibility of the U.S. Navy escorting oil tankers through the Strait, but he confirmed that the U.S. Navy is not yet prepared to take this step.
Wright’s statements come at a time when Americans are facing a noticeable rise in gas prices due to the war.
Pressures
Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz is one of the most significant pressures in the energy market, as the waterway serves as a transit point for about 20% of global oil supplies, connecting the Arabian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman. The closure of the strait has effectively led to a rise in crude oil prices and an increase in fuel prices in the United States.
According to data from GasBuddy, the average gas price in the United States has risen by about 76 cents per gallon since the outbreak of the war, a significant increase in a short period.
