وفي المقابل، رد لابورتا على تصريحات مدرب الفريق السابق بلهجة حادة، مؤكداً أن الإدارة قامت في وقت سابق بكل ما يمكن من أجل عودة ميسي إلى برشلونة، قبل أن يختار اللاعب خوض تجربة جديدة خارج إسبانيا، معتبراً تصريحات تشافي محاولة لتعويض فشله في قيادة الفريق بنفس العناصر التي يحقق معها المدرب الحالي النجاح.

ومع تصاعد الجدل حول هذا الملف، تبدو انتخابات برشلونة مرشحة لمزيد من السخونة في الأيام القادمة، في سباق يتابعه أعضاء النادي عن كثب قبل التوجه إلى صناديق الاقتراع لاختيار الرئيس الجديد. ‏
