اثار نجم برشلونة المخضرم والمدرب السابق تشافي هيرنانديز، الوسط الرياضي العالمي عموماً والبرشلوني خصوصاً، بتصريحات المثيرة للجدل عندما كشف حقيقة الخلاف بين رئيس النادي الكتلوني لابورتا والأسطورة ميسي، وقال: «رئيس النادي أدلى بتصريحات كاذبة، وهو السبب في عدم وجود النجم الأرجنتيني بالفريق الكتلوني».

جاء ذلك في تصريحات نارية لصحيفة «افانغارديا»، تزامناً مع انتخابات برشلونة التي ترشح لها لابورتا وعدد من الشخصيات على رأسهم فيكتور فونت، مؤكداً أن عودة ميسي كانت قريبة عندما كان على رأس الجهاز الفني.

وتابع: «بعد فوز الأرجنتين ببطولة كأس العالم تواصلت مع ميسي وأخبرني أنه متشوق للعودة وقد لمست ذلك، وقلت له: حسنا حين تعطيني الضوء الأخضر سأتحدث مع الرئيس. لأنني أعتقد أن عودة ميسي قرار صائب».

وأكد تشافي أن لابورتا بدأ المفاوضات مع والد ميسي كما حصل على موافقة رابطة الدوري الإسباني، موضحاً أن لابورتا أفسد وقتها كل شيء، وفق التقرير الذي بثه موقع «RT»، وتابع: «فجأة توقف ليونيل عن الرد على مكالماتي، لقد كنا نتفاوض مع ميسي لخمسة أشهر، والاتفاق محسوم، ولا شك في قدراته الكروية، ومن الناحية المالية كنا سنوفر قيمة الصفقة، وأخبرني لابورتا صراحة أنه إذا عاد ليونيل ميسي فسيعلن الحرب عليه، وأنه لن يسمح بذلك».

واختتم: «كنت أتوق بشدة لعودة ليو وما زلت أعتقد أنه سيساعد الفريق على تسجيل الأهداف وتقديم التمريرات وسيحقق الانتصار مجدداً في «الكامب نو» وكانت هذه أمنيته وأمنيتي وهو يعلم ذلك، لكن كانت هناك فترة لم أتمكن فيها من التواصل معه، وهو أمر مؤسف، لكن الفضل يعود لمن هم موجودون الآن».
