أعلنت السلطات المكسيكية خطة أمنية واسعة لتأمين نهائيات كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2026، تقضي بنشر نحو 100 ألف عنصر من العسكريين والشرطة وحراس الأمن الخاص في المدن الثلاث المستضيفة للبطولة، التي تنظمها المكسيك بشكل مشترك مع الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا.

وأوضح رئيس مركز التنسيق الحكومي المكلف بتأمين المونديال، الجنرال رومان فيالوباثو باريوس، أن العملية ستشمل نشر 20 ألف عسكري، من بينهم عناصر من الحرس الوطني، و55 ألفاً من أفراد الشرطة، إضافة إلى آلاف العناصر من شركات الأمن الخاص، في إطار الخطة الحكومية.

وتهدف هذه التدابير إلى الوقاية من التهديدات المحتملة، وضمان أمن ملايين الزوّار المتوقع توافدهم على المدن المضيفة، وهي مكسيكو سيتي، وغوادالاخارا، ومونتيري، فضلاً عن المناطق السياحية المجاورة.

ومن المرتقب أن تستضيف المكسيك 13 مباراة ضمن منافسات مونديال 2026، من بينها المباراة الافتتاحية المقررة في 11 يونيو القادم بملعب «أزتيكا» بالعاصمة مكسيكو.

The Mexican authorities announced a comprehensive security plan to secure the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, which involves deploying around 100,000 military personnel, police, and private security guards in the three host cities of the tournament, which is jointly organized by Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

The head of the government coordination center responsible for securing the World Cup, General Roman Vialobato Barrios, explained that the operation will include the deployment of 20,000 military personnel, including members of the National Guard, and 55,000 police officers, in addition to thousands of personnel from private security companies, as part of the government plan.

These measures aim to prevent potential threats and ensure the safety of the millions of visitors expected to flock to the host cities, which are Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, as well as the surrounding tourist areas.

Mexico is expected to host 13 matches in the 2026 World Cup, including the opening match scheduled for June 11 at the “Azteca” Stadium in Mexico City.
