يتجه النفط لتسجيل أقوى مكاسب أسبوعية منذ التقلبات الحادة التي شهدتها الأسواق خلال جائحة كوفيد-19 في ربيع 2020، في ظل استمرار الصراع في الشرق الأوسط وتعطل الشحنات وصادرات الطاقة عبر مضيق هرمز الحيوي.

وخلال تعاملاته اليوم (الجمعة)، واصل خام برنت مكاسبه مرتفعاً 4 دولارات أو 4.68% إلى 89.46 دولار للبرميل، بينما صعد خام غرب تكساس الوسيط 5.13 دولار أو 6.33% إلى 86.14 دولار للبرميل، وجرى تداول الخامين عند أعلى مستوياتهما منذ عام 2024.

وبدأت موجة الارتفاع الحادة في أسعار النفط بعد أن شنت الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل ضربات على إيران يوم (السبت) الماضي، ما دفع طهران إلى وقف مرور ناقلات النفط عبر مضيق هرمز الذي يمر عبره نحو خُمس الإمدادات النفطية اليومية في العالم.

ومنذ ذلك الحين اتسع نطاق الصراع ليشمل مناطق رئيسية لإنتاج الطاقة في الشرق الأوسط، ما أدى إلى اضطرابات في الإنتاج وإغلاق عدد من المصافي ومنشآت الغاز الطبيعي المسال.

Oil is on track to record its strongest weekly gains since the sharp fluctuations seen in the markets during the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020, amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the disruption of shipments and energy exports through the vital Strait of Hormuz.

During trading today (Friday), Brent crude continued its gains, rising by $4 or 4.68% to $89.46 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate rose by $5.13 or 6.33% to $86.14 per barrel, with both crude types trading at their highest levels since 2024.

The sharp rise in oil prices began after the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran last (Saturday), prompting Tehran to halt the passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, through which about one-fifth of the world’s daily oil supplies pass.

Since then, the scope of the conflict has expanded to include key energy production areas in the Middle East, leading to production disruptions and the shutdown of several refineries and liquefied natural gas facilities.
