صرّح مصدرٌ مسؤولٌ في وزارة الطاقة، بأنه عند السابعة وأربع دقائق، من صباح أمس (الإثنين)، تعرّضت مصفاة تكرير البترول في رأس تنورة لأضرار محدودة بسقوط شظايا ناتجة عن اعتراض طائرتين مسيّرتين في محيط المصفاة، ما أسفر عن نشوب حريق محدود جرى التعامل معه فوراً من قِبل فرق الطوارئ، ولم تترتب على ذلك أي إصابات أو وفيات.

وأوضح أنه تم إيقاف بعض الوحدات التشغيلية في المصفاة بصورة احترازية، دون أن تتأثر إمدادات البترول ومشتقاته للأسواق المحلية.

A responsible source in the Ministry of Energy stated that at seven minutes past seven in the morning yesterday (Monday), the oil refinery in Ras Tanura sustained limited damage due to debris resulting from the interception of two drones in the vicinity of the refinery, which led to a small fire that was promptly dealt with by emergency teams, and there were no injuries or fatalities as a result.

He clarified that some operational units in the refinery were halted as a precautionary measure, without affecting the supply of oil and its derivatives to local markets.
