أعلنت الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني في الكويت، اليوم (السبت)، تعرض مطار الكويت الدولي لهجوم بطائرة مسيرة، مؤكدة وقوع إصابات طفيفة لعدد من العاملين، إضافة لأضرار مادية محدودة في مبنى الركاب T1.

وقال المتحدث باسم الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني في الكويت إن الجهات المختصة باشرت فوراً تنفيذ إجراءات الطوارئ المعتمدة، وجرى التعامل مع الحادثة وتأمين الموقع، موضحاً أن أعمال التقييم والمعالجة وإعادة ترتيب العمليات التشغيلية وفق أعلى معايير السلامة تتواصل.

وأشارت الهيئة إلى أن الوضع تحت السيطرة الكاملة من قبل الجهات المعنية في الدولة، وأن سلامة المسافرين والعاملين تمثل أولوية قصوى.

جلسة طارئة لمجلس الأمن

وكان الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش قد أعلن إدانته للتصعيد العسكري في الشرق الأوسط، داعياً لوقف فوري للأعمال القتالية وللتهدئة قائلاً إن عدم القيام بذلك يُنذر بخطر اندلاع صراع إقليمي أوسع.

وطلبت روسيا والصين عقد اجتماع عاجل لمجلس الأمن الدولي بشأن إيران، وذلك بعد الهجوم الأمريكي الإسرائيلي المشترك الذي استهدف عدة مواقع بالعاصمة الإيرانية طهران، فيما أعلن مجلس الأمن الدولي عقد جلسة طارئة الليلة لمناقشة التصعيد في الشرق الأوسط.

وأعربت وزارة الخارجية الصينية عن قلقها البالغ إزاء الضربات العسكرية الأمريكية والإسرائيلية ضد إيران، داعية إلى وقف فوري للعمليات العسكرية في الشرق الأوسط.

وشددت بالقول: «يجب احترام السيادة الوطنية لإيران وأمنها وسلامة أراضيها»، داعية جميع الأطراف إلى «تجنب المزيد من تصعيد التوتر وعلى استئناف الحوار والمفاوضات».

بدوره، أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي أنه أكمل ضربة واسعة على نظام الدفاع الإستراتيجي للنظام الإيراني.

أمريكا تحث رعاياها على مغادرة لبنان

من جهتها، طلبت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية من مواطنيها في لبنان مغادرة البلد الآن ما دامت الخيارات التجارية متاحة، وحضت المواطنين الأمريكيين على عدم السفر إلى لبنان.

وشجعت السفارة الأمريكية في لبنان بشدة المواطنين الأمريكيين في جنوب لبنان، وفي المناطق القريبة من الحدود مع سورية، وفي مخيمات اللاجئين، وفي حي الضاحية في بيروت، على مغادرة تلك المناطق فوراً.

وقالت إن مطار رفيق الحريري لا يزال مفتوحاً، وتتوفر رحلات على شركات طيران تجارية، إلا أن الرحلات قد تُلغى في أي وقت، مضيفة: “ينبغي على الأمريكيين الذين يختارون عدم المغادرة في الوقت الحالي إعداد خطط طوارئ في حال تدهور الوضع”.

وأشارت إلى أن هذه الخطط البديلة يجب ألا تعتمد على الحكومة الأمريكية لتأمين مغادرة مساعدة أو إجلاء.

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation in Kuwait announced today (Saturday) that Kuwait International Airport was subjected to a drone attack, confirming that there were minor injuries to several workers, in addition to limited material damage to Terminal T1.

The spokesperson for the General Directorate of Civil Aviation in Kuwait stated that the relevant authorities immediately began implementing the approved emergency procedures, and the incident was managed and the site secured, explaining that assessment, treatment, and rearrangement of operational processes according to the highest safety standards are ongoing.

The authority indicated that the situation is under full control by the concerned parties in the country, and the safety of travelers and workers is a top priority.

Emergency Session of the Security Council

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the military escalation in the Middle East, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and for de-escalation, stating that failure to do so threatens the outbreak of a wider regional conflict.

Russia and China requested an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council regarding Iran, following the joint American-Israeli attack that targeted several sites in the Iranian capital, Tehran, while the Security Council announced an emergency session tonight to discuss the escalation in the Middle East.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed its deep concern over the American and Israeli military strikes against Iran, calling for an immediate halt to military operations in the Middle East.

It emphasized by stating: “The national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Iran must be respected,” urging all parties to “avoid further escalation of tensions and to resume dialogue and negotiations.”

For its part, the Israeli army announced that it had completed a wide strike on the strategic defense system of the Iranian regime.

America Urges Its Citizens to Leave Lebanon

For its part, the U.S. State Department requested its citizens in Lebanon to leave the country now while commercial options are available, urging American citizens not to travel to Lebanon.

The U.S. Embassy in Lebanon strongly encouraged American citizens in southern Lebanon, in areas close to the border with Syria, in refugee camps, and in the Dahieh neighborhood of Beirut, to leave those areas immediately.

It stated that Rafic Hariri Airport is still open, and flights are available on commercial airlines, but flights may be canceled at any time, adding: “Americans who choose not to leave at this time should prepare emergency plans in case the situation deteriorates.”

It noted that these alternative plans should not rely on the U.S. government to secure assistance for departure or evacuation.
