أشاد مدرب الاتحاد سيرجيو كونسيساو بالأداء الذي قدمه فريقه أمام الهلال ضمن الجولة الـ23 من الدوري السعودي للمحترفين (جولة يوم التأسيس)، التي انتهت بالتعادل الإيجابي 1-1 على ملعب المملكة أرينا بالرياض، موضحاً أن المباراة لم تكن سهلة، خصوصاً بعد استقبال هدف مبكر وحالة الطرد التي تعرض لها اللاعب حسن كادش، مشيراً إلى أن الروح القتالية والأداء الجماعي مكّنا الفريق من تجاوز الظروف الصعبة والعودة إلى أجواء المباراة، مع تقبّل قرارات التحكيم والعمل على إيجاد الحلول الفنية داخل الملعب من خلال تعديل أسلوب اللعب بما يتناسب مع مجريات اللقاء.

يذكر أن بداية المباراة جاءت سريعة لصالح الهلال، الذي افتتح التسجيل مبكراً عبر البرازيلي مالكوم في الدقيقة الخامسة، ولم تمر دقائق قليلة حتى تعرض الاتحاد لطرد مدافعه حسن كادش في الدقيقة التاسعة، ليكمل الفريق اللقاء بـ10 لاعبين، ورغم النقص العددي، استطاع الاتحاد الحفاظ على توازنه، وتمكن من إدراك التعادل في الدقيقة 53 عن طريق لاعبه الجزائري حسام عوار.

وبهذه النتيجة جرد الاتحاد الهلال من صدارة الدوري وأهداها لجاره النصر الذي اعتلى الصدارة بـ«55» نقطة، بفارق نقطة بعد فوزه على الحزم. في المقابل، وصل الاتحاد إلى 38 نقطة في المركز السادس، ليواصل المنافسة على تحسين موقعه مع دخول الموسم مراحله الحاسمة.

Union coach Sergio Conceição praised the performance of his team against Al-Hilal in the 23rd round of the Saudi Professional League (Founding Day match), which ended in a 1-1 draw at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. He explained that the match was not easy, especially after conceding an early goal and the red card received by player Hassan Kadhesh. He pointed out that the fighting spirit and collective performance enabled the team to overcome difficult circumstances and return to the match, while accepting the refereeing decisions and working on finding technical solutions on the field by adjusting the style of play to suit the flow of the game.

The match started quickly in favor of Al-Hilal, who opened the scoring early through Brazilian Malcolm in the fifth minute. Just a few minutes later, Union faced a red card for their defender Hassan Kadhesh in the ninth minute, leaving the team to continue the match with 10 players. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Union managed to maintain their balance and equalized in the 53rd minute through their Algerian player Houssam Aouar.

With this result, Union stripped Al-Hilal of the top spot in the league and handed it to their neighbor Al-Nassr, who took the lead with “55” points, one point ahead after their victory over Al-Hazm. Meanwhile, Union reached 38 points in sixth place, continuing to compete to improve their position as the season enters its decisive stages.
